These private lessons are designed for riders who already know the basics and can ride a chairlift safely. First-timers should take an introductory lesson.
How many people can join a private snowboard lesson?
You can add up to four additional participants (for a total of five riders) to your private lesson.
Do I need to purchase a lift ticket for my lesson?
Yes, all participants are required to have a valid Heavenly Mountain lift ticket for the day of their lesson.
What types of terrain will we snowboard on at Heavenly?
Heavenly offers a mix of wide groomers, playful terrain parks, and tree runs. Your instructor will choose terrain that matches your ability level and goals for the lesson.
Does Heavenly have terrain parks for snowboarders?
Absolutely. Heavenly features multiple terrain parks with boxes, rails, and jumps for different skill levels. If you’re interested, your instructor can incorporate park riding into your lesson.
Is there advanced terrain at Heavenly for snowboarders?
Heavenly’s expert terrain includes steep mogul runs, tree lines, and challenging black diamonds. Advanced riders can use their lesson to refine technique and explore these areas safely.
Will weather or conditions affect where we ride?
Yes. Your instructor selects the best terrain based on daily conditions, snowfall, and visibility to make sure your lesson is safe and fun.

- Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance will receive a full refund or option for credit towards a future adventure.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure will receive no refund.
