Explore the beauty of Gulf Shores with our tandem kayak rentals, perfect for experienced paddlers looking to enjoy calm, scenic waters. Located near the Gulf State Park Beach Pavilion and Little Lagoon, guests enjoy at most 1.5 hours of rental. (We usually don’t mind if you keep the kayaks a little longer IF conditions are good, but in the hot Alabama sun, most people feel an hour is enough anyway). Along the way you can see lots of coastal birds and other wildlife while enjoying this magical place at your own pace!
Please note: Rentals are for experienced paddlers only. Beginners should instead join one of our guided tours, where our friendly guides will teach you the basics and ensure a safe, fun experience on the water.

- Must be an experienced paddler – this rental is not suitable for beginners.
- Minimum of 2 people per booking (tandem kayaks only; limited singles available for uneven numbers).
- Guests must be comfortable in the water.
- All rentals subject to wind and weather conditions; mornings are best.

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, advanced reservations are required. However, you may call for last-minute rentals if availability allows.
How many people are required per booking?
A minimum of 2 people is required since we use tandem kayaks only.
Can we mix kayaking and paddleboarding in one group?
Absolutely! Just book kayaks and paddleboards separately for the same time and location so your group can enjoy the lagoon together.
When is the best time to rent a kayak?
Mornings are the best time to paddle, as the winds are calmer and temperatures are cooler.
What happens when we return from our rental?
Simply paddle back onto the beach, and our team will help you bring in the kayak. After that, you’re free to enjoy the rest of your day in Gulf Shores!
Cancellation Policy
A credit card is required at time of booking and your card will be charged at that time. You may cancel or change your reservation at any time prior to 48 hours before your tour and you will be given a full refund. In the event of a late arrival, no-show, or last minute cancellation no refunds will be given. No exceptions.
All tours are subject to wind, waves, and weather conditions. In the event of dangerous conditions we may be required cancel tours for your safety. In this case, a full refund or transfer of tour to another date will be given. Please note: Tours will not be cancelled in the event of rain.
