Kayak tours in North Myrtle Beach offer the opportunity to experience the unique and vast number of flora and fauna in the backwater and tidal marshes. Choose from a variety of tours including sunrise, sunset, daytime, and even dark night tours!

Led by expert guides, you’ll learn about the local flora and fauna and how the tidal flood lands benefit our ecosystems. You may be able to spot blue herons, marsh hens, osprey, ducks, and many different species of fish and shellfish! On night tours, you may witness the green sparkling trails of jellies and other micro-planktons in the water known as bioluminescence. You can also explore Waties Island, an undeveloped barrier island that is home to bald eagles, blue herons, marsh hens, osprey, ducks, and in the summer, you may get a glimpse of loggerhead sea turtles and bottlenose dolphins!

Duration of Adventure

The route and duration vary by trip but range from 1.5 hours to 3 hours.

Ages & Requirements

Children must be at least 2 years old
Maximum paddler weight of 275 lbs (125 kg) for a single kayak
Maximum weight for a tandem kayak is 400 lbs (181 kg)
Guests must be over 12 years old to be in a single kayak

What if I’ve never kayaked before?

That is no problem; in fact, the majority of our tours are with first time kayakers. Our tour guides have years of experience kayaking and will be with you all the way. The tour guides will deliberately go out of the way to make sure you are comfortable and getting the hang of it. Kayaking is easy to learn, but we caution you... it is very addictive!
