Located off Highway 89, between Truckee and Tahoe City, on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley) is just 42 miles from Reno, 96 miles from Sacramento and 196 miles from San Francisco via all weather Interstate 80.
Palisades Tahoe offers 3,600 skiable acres and is the largest of the North Lake Tahoe resorts. Palisades skiers and boarders have access to extreme steeps and bowls along with large beginner areas, terrain parks and pipes. Enthusiasts will find more than 150 trails accessed by 30 lifts. Palisades Tahoe offers the highest skiing of the three primary resorts in the area, with elevation topping out at just over 9,000 feet.

SKI OR SNOWBOARD PACKAGES
The Premium Ski Package features this years’ latest skis and snowboards and is by far our most popular rental package. Designed for skiers and riders of all abilities, this package offers a wide variety of skis from the best brands and is customized for each renter. This package includes the latest in women’s and junior options.
The Performance Ski Package is a great option for value focused all-mountain skiers and riders. This rental package is also designed for skiers and riders of all ability levels, but without the variety of equipment available in the Premium Package.
The Junior Ski Packages feature great performing equipment for the 12 and under skiers and riders in your group. These rental packages are also available with Premium and Performance options.
ADULT PREMIUM BOOT UPGRADE
Upgrade to our Premium level ski boots for the ultimate comfort and performance. This upgrade is available in both men and women’s specific ski boots and will be sure to up your game to the best it can be!
HELMETS ADULT OR JUNIOR
Helmets have become a permanent feature on the slopes at all modern ski resorts. Our helmets are designed to provide both warmth and comfort. We recommend that everyone wears a helmet for safety.
DAMAGE WAIVER ADULT OR JUNIOR
For a small daily fee you can cover your equipment against all incidental damages incurred during normal use. Unfortunately, the damage waiver does not cover theft or negligent use of your equipment, like skiing onto the sidewalk or down the street.
CLOTHING PACKAGES ADULT OR JUNIOR
If you find yourself without the proper clothing for the cold mountain air, we have the jackets and pants you need to stay warm on the slopes. Our rental clothing packages feature Red Ledge outerwear jackets and pants. You can either rent them together or separately to fit your needs.

WHAT IF I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY EQUIPMENT?
In the rare event that something happens with your equipment, we are just a phone call away. Our rental techs can meet you in no time back at your accommodation or at the base of the mountain with a replacement.
DO YOU HAVE A DAMAGE WAIVER?
An optional damage waiver is available and covers damage to the equipment caused by normal wear and tear incurred while skiing. It does NOT cover damage due to NEGLIGENCE, THEFT, OR LOSS. If you are skiing on our Demo or All Mountain Package, we strongly recommend selecting the damage waiver.
HOW DOES THE DELIVERY PROCESS WORK?
Don’t ever wait in line at the ski shop again! Our hassle-free delivery service will save you time, which means you’ll have more time on the slopes to enjoy with family and friends. We open earlier and stay open later than all others to ensure the best delivery time for our guests and to provide you with slope side assistance when needed. Fittings are generally done the night before your first day of skiing, this way you can wake up stress free and have everything you need to hit the slopes for first tracks. Our certified ski rental technicians will select and deliver your ski or snowboard equipment to your lodging property at your scheduled delivery time. Our ski technicians will custom fit you with the latest ski and board equipment based on your rental package, ability level, and the current snow conditions. Our delivery vans come fully stocked with lots of options and sizes so we can be sure all of your equipment fits properly. Returns are just as convenient and easy as delivery. When you are finished with your rentals, we come back to your lodging and retrieve the equipment with no need to intrude on your dining or travel plans.
HOW DOES SLOPE SIDE ASSISTANCE WORK?
Our technicians are only a phone call away if you ever need assistance with your equipment. Our ski technicians can meet you at the base area or at your place of lodging to make any necessary adjustments or replacements and get you back on the slopes quickly.
WHAT ARE YOUR DELIVERY HOURS?
For your added convenience our Delivery Service opens early (7:30am) and closes late (10:00pm). We understand that traveling in the mountains can be difficult and unpredictable. If you’re experiencing delays or need to make special arrangements, please call your local office directly and we will do our best to accommodate you.
HOW DO YOU SELECT MY EQUIPMENT?
Our state-of-the-art reservation system and our professionally trained rental techs use the information you provide to select the best possible equipment to suit your needs. If by chance the boot or ski is not suitable, we carry a full back stock in our vans that are parked right outside.
HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR KIDS RENT FREE?
To qualify for our KRF packages your child must be 12 years of age or under. 1 child will rent free with each 5 day adult rental. This offer is not available at all locations.
DO YOU RENT HELMETS?
Yes, we rent Giro and Smith helmets for all ages and sizes. They are safe, warm, and stylish, and you can request them when making your reservation.
WHAT IF I HAVE MY OWN BOOTS?
If you have your own boots, you can deduct $4 per day from the cost of your package. Please specify when making your reservation that you have your own boots and select a “ski only” package.
ARE YOU INDIVIDUALLY OWNED AND OPERATED?
Yes, and we make sure each and every guest receives the highest levels of service and personal attention. Chances are the owner is the one fitting your boots!
WILL I GET A REFUND IF I WANT TO TAKE A DAY OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF MY TRIP?
No, renting skis is like renting a car: if you have your equipment for 5 days and you only use it for 4, you still need to pay for the entire rental period.
