Durango E-Bike & SUP Package with Lunch

Experience Durango like a local by e-biking the Animas River Trail, and paddling a SUP on a calm section of the Animas River. With this rental package, you can make a make a day of it! Start out at Memorial Park and e-bike for 2 hours on the Animas River Trail, ending at Oxbow Park. ROLL will meet you at Oxbow with inflated SUPs and a catered gourmet picnic lunch for you to enjoy on the beach before your paddle. Enjoy the gourmet lunch on the beach, and then float down river 1.5 miles by paddle board, ending where you started at Memorial Park where your car is parked! This float takes about 45 minutes to an hour. 
With 300 days of sun a year, Durango is an ideal biking town, and the 13 mile car-free Animas River trail (ART) is the perfect way to experience it. The electric assist makes exploring all that Durango has to offer easy and fun for all ages! Traveling to Durango's 6,512 foot elevation can be challenging. An e-bike will take you farther without breaking a sweat - and up high to enjoy the Rocky Mountain views. Top it off with a paddle on the Animas River, and you've for a perfect Durango day!

Tandem Bikes - 2-Person Electric Bike Perfect for Families
The Rad Runner, Rad Wagon, and Pedego eTandem are all two-person bikes with soft seats for a second rider on the back. 
Individual Bikes
Rad Mission & Rad City electric bikes are perfect for those who want to be in control of their own ride, but still venture around with family and friends!

Location / Where to Meet

eBikes delivered to you at 32nd Street and East 3rd Ave at the start time. 

Ages & Requirements

  1. Minimum age: 6 years old
  2. Tandem Bikes: Age 21+ for the front driver & kids 8+ on the back, with a maximum combined weight of 300 lbs.
  3. Single Bikes: Rad City (Age 16+) or XPRIT Urban (Age 12-15). Age 12-15, let us know in the comments when booking how many in your party are teens, their ages, and height.
  4. Helmets are required to be worn the entire time a Roll guest is eBike riding.
  5. Life jackets are required to be worn while paddleboarding
  6. Bikes are allowed on paved roads and paths; they are NOT allowed on gravel or dirt roads or paths.
  7. While riding a Roll ebike participants must follow all traffic law.
  8. The speed limit on the Animas River Trail is 10 miles per hour.

FAQs

Do I need to book in advance?

We have a limited fleet of e-bikes, so be sure to book in advance to lock in the rental day and time of your choice!

Is there a physical requirement?

You must know how to ride a bike to be a driver. The person in the front of tandem bikes should be generally healthy, as these bikes require a bit more effort.

How fast do the e-bikes go?

We offer Rad Power and Pedego brand ebikes. Both go up to 20 miles per hour.

Can kids ride Roll e-bikes?

Yes, kids age 6 and up can ride the Cruisers or Tandems with a parent or adult friend.

What does pedal assist mean?

Pedal assist is a mode that provides power only when you are pedaling. The pedal assist mode is also nice because you can focus purely on your pedaling and you don't have to hold the throttle in a certain position.

Which e-bikes are pedal assist?

All of our ebikes have both pedal assist and throttle except for our eTandem's, which are throttle only. 

What does throttle mode mean?

When the throttle is engaged the motor provides power and propels you and the bike forward. A throttle allows you to pedal or just kick back and enjoy a “free” ride!  Our throttles can be fine tuned like a volume dial between low and full power up to 20 miles per hour maximum.

Are e-bikes allowed on the road?

An ebike is just like any other bike and are allowed on roads in bike lanes and on the Animas River Trail. Please follow traffic laws, be safe, and have fun!

How is your e-bike fleet maintained?

We contract with a mobile bike mechanic company to ensure your e-bike is in top shape.

Cancellation Policy

Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 48 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. No-shows will be charged the full price.

If your reservation is cancelled less than 48 hours before your reservation, the cancellation fee is $15 for half day (4 hours), $25 for full day, and 10% of the total fees for multi-day reservations.
If your reservation is cancelled less than 24 hours before your reservation, the cancellation fee half the price of the reservation.
Please note that all cancellations must be received and confirmed by Roll.
