Saturday and Sunday mornings on New Smyrna Beach are made for catching your first wave — or refining the ones you already know how to ride. Your guides run youth and adult surf lessons every weekend, meeting on the beach for a hands-on session that covers paddling, pop-ups, wave reading, and etiquette in the water. Whether you're a total beginner or working on the fundamentals, the coaching is built around your current skill level.
This corner of the Florida coast has been home to a working surf school since 1985, and that experience shows in the way each session is run — patient, safety-first instruction paired with genuinely warm coaching. A surfboard is included with every lesson, so all you need to bring is a swimsuit and a sense of adventure. Lessons run surf-conditions permitting, so your guides keep an eye on the swell to make sure you're getting into the water at its best.

Are lessons weather dependent?
Yes, lessons run surf-conditions permitting. Your guides monitor the swell and will work with you on rescheduling if conditions aren't suitable.
Is a waiver required?
Yes, all participants are required to complete a signed consent and liability waiver before their session.
How long is the weekend lesson?
Sessions run about 1 hour 15 minutes total — roughly 15 minutes of beach instruction followed by an hour in the water with your guide.
Is this suitable for complete beginners?
Yes — weekend lessons are designed for any age or skill level, from first-time surfers to those brushing up on fundamentals.
What should we wear & bring?
Wear secure bathing suit or board shorts and Rash Guard/Lycra Shirt to help protect you from excess sun and skin irritation. Bring: Just the basics like a towel and water bottle. Sunscreen (reef safe) should be applied BEFORE you leave your house so it will dry.

Cancellation/Change Policies
Date changes may be made with $25 fee per surfer at least 14 days prior start date. $50 fee within 2 weeks of scheduled date.
Refund-Request Cancellations will be accepted at least 14 days prior start date minus $50.00 Administrative Fee per surfer.
All camps and lessons are non-refundable within 14 days of start date. Instead, an "Open Date" Credit Voucher minus a $50 rebooking fee, will be offered and can be used within current or following season only. Rebooking will be at the advertised rate at time of rebooking.
No-shows receive no camp credit.
Changes to camp dates must be in writing and receipt validated.
