Verde River Shuttle Service for Self-Guided Trips
Explore one of Arizona’s best-kept secrets, the Verde River, as it flows through the Verde River Valley. In the past, this are was almost unknown except for local boater and river adventurers, but the Verde River has now come alive with a renewed awareness and appreciation of this free-flowing river in the desert. The Verde River now boasts 10 public river access points, maps and year-round access for boating, fishing, birding, and tubing.
If you have your own boat or kayak and just need a shuttle for your Verde River trip from Clear Creek to Beasley Flats, our shuttle service is a great option! It’s an easy and convenient way to get to the river for your adventure. Along the way, chat with your shuttle driver to get a couple of tips and tricks or even a few jokes. Our well-trained, professional shuttle drivers will provide you with exceptional information on geology, archeology, history, flora and fauna before you set off on your river adventure.
Shuttle Guidelines:
The launch point for your river adventure is Clear Creek Campground, and the take-out is Beasley Flat. It is your responsibility to drop your gear off at Clear Creek before meeting us for your shuttle. We recommend the following timeline to ensure you do not miss your shuttle:
- Please arrive at Clear Creek by 9 a.m. to unload and stage your gear.
- Depart Clear Creek and bring your vehicle to Beasley Flats, where you can park (stash keys and have a backup set), by 9:45 a.m.
- You must be at Beasley Flats ready to be shuttled to Clear Creek promptly by 10 a.m!

We depart promptly at 10:00 AM from Beasley Flat, your take-out - please arrive by 9:45. The shuttle takes about 30 minutes to transport you to the put-in at Clear Creek.

- Spare keys - stash one set on your car at take-out, and keep one set with you in a secure dry bag.

Can I bring my dog on the shuttle?
No dogs, ducks, otters, or any other animals are allowed in the shuttle.
Is there a maximum number of people you can take on the shuttle?
The maximum is 10 guests.
How many river miles is it from Clear Creek to Beasley Flat?
It is 4.3 miles on the river. This is Section 9 of the Verde River Paddle Trail.
What is the best way to get to the put in and take out?
- Clear Creek - In Camp Verde, turn east off of Highway 260 on Salt Mine Road (2 miles east of Finnie Flat Road; 0.4 mile west of White Bridge). Go about 6.2 miles to signed area with parking. River is about 150 yards across ditch and down the hill.
- Beasley Flat - Follow directions to Clear Creek and continue 2.4 miles to where paved road makes a hard left to Camp Verde Acres Access Road (first left after River Bend Road). Follow “main” road through subdivision (using Verde Lane and River View Drive, if marked) until you reach Forest Service land. Follow road to ramadas, parking, rest and changing rooms, and launch area

Are dogs allowed?
Unfortunately, due to the permit requirements with the Forest Service and insurance policies, dogs are not allowed in the shuttle or watercrafts. Here are several resources for doggy daycare packages in the area:

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations prior to 48 hours before departure are subject to a $10 per person fee. Cancellations within 48 hours of departure are nonrefundable.
