FAQs
Is this tour appropriate for beginners?
This is considered easy to moderate. You don't have to be an expert hiker, but shouldn't be afraid to break a sweat!
What should we do with our personal belongings while on the tour?
We recommend bringing a small day pack or fanny pack to carry your belongings.
Do I have to book in advance?
We highly recommend that you purchase your tour tickets in advance of your preferred tour date. By doing so, you are guaranteed a spot. Waiting to book runs the risk of the tour being sold out on the day you’d like to take it if you haven’t booked your tour in advance.
Do you serve food and beverages on the tour?
We provide water for guests, but you are encouraged to bring your own snacks.
What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
Should we need to cancel a tour due to inclement weather, we will contact you on the day of the tour. Our policy is to either offer you the opportunity to reschedule your LA tour for a different day or to offer you a refund for the tour. When you book your tour, please be sure to include your cell phone number or a local number where we can reach you as well as an email address.
Is there restroom access on your LA tour routes?
There will not be restroom access during this tour.
Do you offer any special tour arrangements for children or my family?
A very popular option for families traveling with children is to book a private hiking tour of LA. Your expert LA guide will be assigned to your group and take you on a family-friendly custom experience the whole family will love!
I noticed in the reservation form I had to provide a phone number. However, I’m not from the United States, and I only have a foreign number. What should I do?
No problem! You can provide us with a foreign phone number and/or the name and number of the hotel at which you’re staying in LA.
Is there parking available?
There is free street parking available. Pay attention to posted signs near the Hollywood Sign viewpoint.
What is the easiest hike to the Hollywood Sign?
The easiest hike to the Hollywood Sign is our Hollywood Sign Tour! It’s an easy, breezy, 90 minute walk that takes you directly below the Hollywood Sign for the best photos of the sign. For a more invigorating adventure, book our Hollywood Sign Hike, an all-encompassing hike taking you behind the Hollywood Sign!
What are the Hollywood Hills famous for?
The Hollywood Hills are famous for their gorgeous views, enviable celebrity homes, and of course, that huge Hollywood Sign that everyone’s always talking about.
How long does it take to hike up to the Hollywood Sign?
Our Hollywood Sign Walk takes 90 minutes, and takes you directly below the Hollywood Sign for photos and a guided historic tour. If you’re looking for a more challenging hike, book our Hollywood Sign Hike, which takes about 2.5 hours! Both walks can be modified for a more bespoke, private tour.

The Hollywood Sign Tour is an easy walk, designed to take you through Griffith Park and below the Hollywood Sign in 90 minutes. It’s a completely flat walk, led by an expert Los Angeles Tour guide, and gives you all the intimate history of the surrounding area.
Can I drive to the Hollywood Sign?
You are not able to drive to the Hollywood Sign; however, you can walk to it! We recommend doing so on either our Hollywood Sign Tour or our Hollywood Sign Hike.
