FAQs

What should I wear for a kayak tour?

Wear sun-protective clothing, and be prepared to get wet. Shoes or sandals that can get wet and muddy are essential. For winter tours, dress in layers (wool or synthetic base layer, fleece or puffy coat, windbreaker) - NO JEANS! Bring swimwear if you plan to swim.

Do I need kayaking experience?

No prior kayaking experience is necessary for most tours. We provide beginner-friendly double sit-on-top kayaks and experienced guides. The Antelope Canyon Kayak + Swim Tour (no hike) is especially ideal for beginners and families. Sit-inside kayak rentals do require previous kayaking experience.

What happens if there's bad weather?

If your tour is cancelled due to weather conditions, you will receive a full refund. Wind can make tours more physically demanding. Flash flood warnings may prevent hiking into Antelope Canyon. We prioritize safety and will cancel if conditions are unsafe.

Are children allowed on the tours?

Yes! Most tours welcome children ages 5 and up (some accept children age 2+). All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 50 lbs must bring their own properly-fitting life jacket. Children under 5 are not recommended for tours with potentially choppy water.

What's the difference between the Antelope Canyon tours?

The full Antelope Canyon Kayak, Hike & Swim Tour is 5-6 hours and includes 5 miles of paddling plus a 2-mile hike up the slot canyon. The Antelope Canyon Kayak + SWIM Tour (no hike) is more family-friendly, paddles only partially into the canyon, focuses on swimming and cliff jumping, and doesn't include the strenuous hike.

Do I need to pay the Glen Canyon entrance fee?

Glen Canyon National Recreation Area entrance fees are required for water-based activities and are NOT included in tour prices. You'll need to pay this separately.

Can I bring my pet?

Pets are not allowed on any tours. You can contact Shelly at (928) 640-6898 to board your pet during your adventure.

What about the time zone in Page?

Arizona does not observe daylight saving time. The time on your phone and GPS may be incorrect due to Page's proximity to Utah and the Navajo reservation. Check the current time before your tour to avoid being late.

Are private tours available?

Yes! Private tours are available for most experiences and can be customized based on your group's adventure goals and experience level. Perfect for family reunions, special occasions, wedding parties, and corporate groups.

What's included in the tour price?

All tours include kayak, paddle, personal flotation device, waterproof bags/boxes, and an experienced local guide. Some tours include refreshments. Glen Canyon entrance fees and gratuities are NOT included.
