Half-Day Guided Emerald Cove Kayaking Tour

Launch from Willow Beach for a half-day kayaking adventure along the Colorado River, where clear emerald waters, scenic coves, and historic sites combine for a memorable outing. Paddle past the Willow Beach National Fish Hatchery, where rainbow trout are stocked weekly, and continue upriver to the Historic Gauger Station. A short 5–10 minute hike leads to the 1920s gauger homesite, offering panoramic views of the original Hoover Dam site. Along the route, explore the naturally formed Emerald Cave, whose vivid green waters create striking photo opportunities, and stop at Emerald Cove or other secluded beaches for a break or snack. Guests can also visit additional coves or a second cave beyond the Gauger Station, making the trip customizable to your interests. This tour blends gentle paddling, light hiking, and exploration of both natural and historical highlights along the Colorado River.

Ages & Requirements

1. Participants must be 18 years or older. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and be able to swim. 
   
2. All participants must be physically able to undertake the activity and follow the instructions of the guide.
   
3. All participants must complete the General Liability Waiver before the activity. No waiver, no participation.
   
4. Life jackets must be worn at all times during the activity.
   
5. Guests with medical conditions that may affect their participation (e.g., heart conditions, pregnancy, or injuries) must consult their physician before booking.
   
6. Alcohol or illegal substances are strictly prohibited during the activity. Guests under the influence will be denied participation without a refund.
   
7. Pack in what you pack out. Participants must adhere to Leave No Trace principles to protect the environment. Littering and disturbance of wildlife are prohibited.
   
8. Guests are expected to behave respectfully towards other participants, staff, and wildlife. The operator reserves the right to remove disruptive participants without a refund.
   
9. Please note there is no cell service at Willow Beach, and all forms and confirmations must be completed in advance.
