Description
Columbia Gorge Sunset Kayaking Tour
Watch the Columbia River Gorge change color as the sun drops behind the cliffs on this relaxed, guided sunset paddle — the outfitter's most requested tour, and for good reason. You'll launch onto calm, protected water as the evening light turns golden, with your guide setting an easy pace so there's nothing to do but paddle, breathe, and take it in.
Along the way, your guide shares narrated insights into the Gorge's geology, wildlife, and Native American cultural history, pointing out osprey, blue heron, bald eagles, mergansers, and kingfishers as you go. It's a beginner-friendly, photo-friendly way to close out a day in the Gorge, with warm light on the basalt cliffs and reflections stretching across the water on the paddle back in.
No prior kayaking experience is needed, and the tour welcomes a wide age range — from young kids paddling tandem with a parent up through older adults looking for a gentle, guided outing.
