Lake Tahoe Starlight Snowshoe Tour

Tahoe Outdoor Adventures invented one of South Lake Tahoe's most creative snowshoe tours. Taking place under the light of heavenly bodies, join us for a magical odyssey through the powdery snow-filled forest at night in the mysterious light of mountains. Adventure as we explore the backcountry of South Lake Tahoe in ways that you never imagined.

Everything is different when you hike and trek in the dark. Our high-powered headlamps make it possible to see Tahoe's starlight sky in an awe-inspiring way. As the moonlight reflects off the snow you will journey as the night heightens the senses.

New to off-trail snowshoeing? Let Tahoe Outdoor Adventures lead the way and teach you fun snowshoeing techniques and tricks. All tours include instruction. Wear winter boots and powder/ski pants to keep your feet and legs dry while snowshoeing.

Location

Snowshoeing tours take place in the areas around South Lake Tahoe and the surrounding landscapes of the Sierra. All of our tours depart from various locations in the area of South Lake Tahoe. You will meet your guide at the trailhead where you will start and finish your tour. Exact tour locations vary depending on weather, snowpack, and group ability levels. Our tour sites are within 10-20 minutes of anywhere in South Lake Tahoe.
