Description

Stand Up Paddleboard Rental on Lake Estes

Step onto a paddleboard for a different view of Lake Estes than you'd get sitting in a boat. Standing up puts you a bit higher over the water, which makes it easier to see the shoreline, the mountains, and whatever else is out on the lake.

The water is usually calm enough to paddle at an easy pace, and you can always switch to sitting or kneeling if you want a break from standing. It's a simple way to spend some time on a calm, wakeless mountain lake.

Duration

The marina operates seasonally, generally from around May through October depending on weather. Watercraft rentals are not offered on Tuesdays.

Choose from 1-hour, 2-hour, 3-hour, or 4-hour rental blocks

FAQs

Do I need to book in advance?

Booking in advance is highly recommended, especially on weekends and during peak summer months, to guarantee availability.

Do I need to pay an extra fee to use my rental on the lake?

No — every watercraft on Lake Estes requires a lake use fee, but that fee is already built into your rental price. You'll only need to cover your vehicle's parking/use fee separately.

What happens if the weather is turns during my rental?

If the marina cancels a reservation due to unforeseen weather like lightning, high wind, or other unsafe conditions, you'll receive a full refund or credit.

Do I need previous paddling experience?

No experience is required. Lake Estes is a small, wakeless lake, which makes it a comfortable spot for first-time paddlers.

Can two people share one paddleboard?

The paddleboard is designed for one rider at a time; if you're paddling with a partner, consider renting a second board or a kayak instead.

Can I kneel or sit instead of standing the whole time?

Yes, you can paddle from a kneeling or seated position if you're still finding your balance — it's a common way to start before standing up.
