St Elmo Ghost Town eBike Tour

Description
Electric Bike Tour of St. Elmo Historic Ghost Town – Buena Vista, CO
Head out from downtown Buena Vista on an e-bike and follow Chalk Creek Canyon deep into the Sawatch Range, passing natural hot springs and groves of aspen on the way up to St. Elmo, a remarkably well-preserved 1880s mining town tucked at 10,000 feet. The ride climbs gradually alongside the creek with the Collegiate Peaks framing the canyon the whole way, giving you plenty of reasons to slow down and take in the scenery before you ever reach town.
Once you roll into St. Elmo, you'll have time to wander among the original wooden storefronts and cabins that still line its streets, learning the stories behind the boom-and-bust mining era that built and then emptied the town. From there, a few short trails branch off from town for anyone who wants to stretch their legs a little further before the ride back.
With the e-bike's assist handling the climb, this is a ride that trades effort for time in the saddle looking around — a full afternoon of canyon scenery, mining history, and Old West charm without needing to be an experienced cyclist to enjoy it.
