Please also be respectful of any marine animals including but not limited to turtles, rays, sharks, seals, and dolphins. Please never chase, harass, feed, or TOUCH any of the marine species. Enjoy their company if they approach from a distance and calmly move away from them if in their path.

FAQs
What is provided on the boat?
Type 1 life jackets (kids under 6 required to wear life jackets while underway), masks, snorkels, fins, 2 bean bag chairs, sound system, cooler with ice, toilet, hand sanitizer, toilet paper.
Where do we park and is it free?
Parking is located in the upper parking lot in front of the main Adventure Marina Sales and Service building. Park along the chain, facing the building. Parking is free with a parking pass! We will give you a parking pass for your vehicle(s) during check-in. Arrive a little early (about 15 min) for parking and waivers.
Where do we meet the Captain and Catamaran?
Meet the Captain and Catamaran at the dock behind the Tackle and Bait Shop (a small blue building next to the boat ramp). Arrive a little early (about 15 min) for parking and waivers.
Can I smoke onboard?
Yes. Cigarettes/Cigars may be smoked in designated areas, vapes can be smoked up on the front trampoline area.
Can I have more than 6 people on my charter?
No. We can only accommodate up to 6 persons.
Do I tip the Captain?
As part of the service industry, your Captain works very hard to make sure that your adventure is one that will be memorable and pleasurable. Your Captain strives to do an amazing job for you. If you feel like you received great service, your generosity is always appreciated by your Captain. A 15% - 20% tip is customary.
Will we see dolphins? Can we swim with them?
We specialize in wildlife and dolphin sail cruises. One benefit of being on a sailboat is the quietness they provide for dolphins and other wildlife. Our waterways are home to several large pods of Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins that are constantly on the move in our area. We work very hard to find the dolphins for you, it is very rare not to see them on our trips. Unfortunately, Federal regulations do not allow passengers to swim with the dolphins.
Do you have a pet policy?
We do not allow pets at this time for safety and comfort of the captain and other passengers.
Is there shade on the boat?
Yes, there is shade in the back deck area of the boat, also if sails are up they will provide some shade. A hat, lightweight shirt and pants will help if prone to sunburns. And remember to put sunscreen on first thing in the morning before you go outside.
Can we bring alcohol?
Yes. We will have a cooler with ice waiting for your brews. Bring what you can carry. No alcohol is sold at or around Crab Island. No underage drinking allowed.
Passengers are welcome to bring their own alcohol but they must consume responsibly. Underage drinking, belligerence, and other risky behaviors will cause the charter to return to the dock with no refund. Passengers already intoxicated will not be permitted onboard.
What sunscreen can I use and why does it matter?
Common sunscreens contain chemicals that can harm coral reefs, as the particles are small enough to be absorbed by corals, causing toxicity and coral bleaching. Reef-friendly sunscreens are formulated without these harmful chemicals. Reef-SAFE sunscreens go a step further by using non-nano particles, which are too large for corals to ingest, helping to preserve marine ecosystems.
Please avoid sunscreens with oxybenzone, octinoxate, and parabens. Consider wearing sun-protective clothing, like long-sleeve rash guards, as an alternative to sunscreen. If you choose a mineral-based sunscreen, ensure it is labeled ‘non-nano.’
Can you go underwater with a snorkel?
Yes, snorkels allow you to breathe with your face in the water at the surface. If you’d like to dive down, though, water will enter the snorkel, so you’ll need to hold your breath until you resurface. Once back at the surface, you can clear the snorkel by blowing out the air in your mouth hard. That should clear the snorkel, but if it doesn’t, tread the water, remove the snorkel from your mouth and dump the mouthpiece out.
Can I snorkel if I wear glasses?
Standard eyeglasses can’t be worn with a snorkel mask, but prescription masks are available for those who need vision correction while snorkeling. If you’re interested, consider looking into a prescription mask option before your tour. Alternatively, contact lenses can be worn under a snorkel mask, though it’s best to close your eyes if water enters to prevent losing a lens.
Can I snorkel with a mustache or beard?
You can snorkel with a beard or mustache but it can prevent a tight seal between the mask and your face, which may cause water to leak in. It is often recommended to shave at least your mustache before snorkeling. If you’d prefer not to shave your mustache, please bring petroleum jelly or chapstick with you. If you coat your mustache in that chapstick or jelly, it may be able to seal and prevent water from getting in.
