People often ask, what makes Magic so different? It all starts with the mountain itself. When Hans Thorner was searching Vermont to start a ski area in the late 1950s, he found Glebe Mountain, home of Magic Mountain Ski Area. Its ridge lines and steep topography reminded him of his native Swiss Alps.
The trails he cut for Magic are naturally narrow and twisting and descend 1,500 heart-pumping vertical feet to two Summit lifts—true vertical skiing. Combined with tree-skiing from boundary-to-boundary, Magic’s terrain is what separates this ski area from all others in southern Vermont and the East Coast—virtually unchanged since the 1960s.
Not ready for aggressive terrain just yet? Magic's team of instructors will provide you with a strong set of skills, techniques and understanding to get you where you want to be as a skier or snowboarder. The Nelson Family Learning Area has been designed to give beginners a safe space to learn fundamental ski and snowboarding skills.
A little bit of something for everyone... from classic winding 60’s-era beginner and intermediate trails to some of the most gnarly steeps and treeskiing on the East Coast, Magic has it all. With 1,500′ vertical runs accessible by two base to summit lifts, and an 800′ base to mid mountain lift, your legs may give out before you ever get tired of all the different terrain accessible at this “mid-sized” ski area. And, with Magic's skier capacity limits, there’s little wait time to get after it all! Experience the difference a little Magic makes.

Magic Mountain Day Trip Bus Times
Bus departs Magic Mountain at 5:00 pm and arrives in NYC between 9:00-10:00pm. Any quoted return times are estimates and can vary due to road conditions, traffic, as well as other factors.

In the event that you need to cancel your trip, please contact us here, or by email at info@ovrride.com.
For Winter 2023, OvRride is offering Flexible Cancellation. If you need to cancel your day trip, OvRride requires 10 days' notice from the departure date of the trip. This notice must written as an email from the person who made the reservation. No phone calls or other forms of contact via social media, word of mouth, etc. can be honored. Cancellations with sufficient notice will be issued a full refund, or can move the reservation to another day/trip.
Winter 2023 reservations to Magic Mountain will also include Limited Trip Assurance. In the event you cancel within 10 days of the departure date, you can move your reservation to another day/trip as long as you let us know, in writing, up to 3 days before the date of the trip.
If you miss the bus for a day trip to Magic Mountain and/or haven’t given written warning at least three days in advance, you will be refunded all but $109.95- This accounts for the cost of your bus seat.
