Description
Kendall Mountain Single-Day Lift Ticket - Silverton, CO
There's a particular kind of relief in a ski hill that doesn't require a strategy — no lift lines to game out, no sprawling map to study, just a single chairlift and a full day to ride it as many times as legs allow. A day here plays out at its own pace, whether that means slow warm-up laps for a first-timer building the basics or nonstop runs for someone chasing every inch of a fresh snowfall.
Set at the edge of Silverton with the San Juan Mountains rising all around, the hill has the feel of a well-kept local secret — the kind of place longtime Colorado skiers send their friends when they want a day that's about skiing itself, not the scene around it. Compared to the state's larger, more crowded ski areas, the smaller scale and quieter runs make it an especially good place for kids and beginners to learn, with plenty of room to take things at their own pace.

FAQs
Does Kendall Mountain make snow?
No. The mountain relies entirely on natural snowfall, so it typically opens later in December once a solid base has built up, and conditions can shift through the season depending on recent weather.
Is there a daily capacity limit?
Yes. Because it's a small hill, daily visitor numbers are capped, so purchasing ahead of your visit is strongly encouraged to secure a spot.
Is there food available at the base?
There's no on-mountain restaurant, but downtown Silverton is just a few blocks away with several casual, highly rated spots to eat after skiing.
Can I rent ski or snowboard gear at Kendall Mountain?
Yes, ski and snowboard rentals are available - we recommend renting online in advance to ensure availability.
