FAQs
Do I need a reservation to rent a bike?
Advance reservations are strongly recommended, especially during peak season, to ensure we have the appropriately sized bikes for you! We will work off your renter data and select appropriately sized gear for your rental experience. By having a reservation, your equipment will be set aside with your name, pre-teched, and ready to go. This GRAB & GO process will absolutely expedite your rental experience and help limit the time spent in our stores. Reservations made less than 24 hours in advance are not guaranteed.
Is the rental suitable for kids and families?
Absolutely. We have a full range of junior bikes, trailers, and tag-a-longs, making it ideal for family outings and riders of all ages.
Where do you recommend riding?
- Eagle Valley Trail – A scenic, paved path that connects Avon to nearby towns like Edwards and Eagle. Great for families and casual riders.
- Beaver Creek Village – Ride up to the resort base for lunch or shopping. E-bikes make the climb much easier.
- Avon Singletree Trails – A mix of mellow dirt trails and paths, good for beginner/intermediate mountain bikers.
- West Avon Preserve – A local favorite for mountain biking, with intermediate-level singletrack and great views.
- Nottingham Lake Loop – A short and sweet loop around the lake, ideal for families with kids or trailer setups.
- Vail Pass (Shuttled Ride) – Rent a bike and arrange a shuttle to the top of Vail Pass for a downhill cruise back into town.
What bike should I rent if I’m not sure where I’ll ride?
If you're riding paved paths or doing a casual cruise, a hybrid or e-bike is great. For trails, opt for a front or full suspension mountain bike.
What if the weather is bad?
Weather can change quickly in the mountains. Rentals proceed rain or shine.
What is Beaver Creek Bike Haul?
The Beaver Creek Bike Haul uses the Centennial Express Lift to carry you and your bike to the summit of the mountain at 10,200 feet. From the top, you can explore a variety of trails suitable for different skill levels and the Spruce Saddle restaurant. Class 1 eBikes are allowed on the Bike Haul, but check the trail map to ensure the trails you are riding allow eBikes.
