Description

Electric Bike Tour of Rocky Mountain National Park's Trail Ridge Road

Set out from historic Grand Lake on an e-bike and head into Rocky Mountain National Park, riding sections of the famous Trail Ridge Road as the landscape shifts from alpine forest to open tundra. Extra battery support helps riders of varying abilities handle the climbs, with your guide calling out wildlife and pointing out highlights like Milner Pass and the headwaters of the Colorado River along the way.

This is a small-group outing built around scenic vistas and a personalized pace — panoramic photo stops on the way up, and long, effortless descents on the way back down, through some of the highest terrain any of this outfitter's tours reach.

  3. Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled start time for bike fitting, helmet setup, and a safety overview

FAQs

Do I need previous e-bike experience to join this tour?

No experience is needed — our guided rides are beginner friendly, and your guide will make sure you're comfortable with the bike before you head out.

What will we see on this tour?

This route climbs from the West Entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park through alpine forest into open tundra along Trail Ridge Road, reaching the Alpine Visitor Center — one of the highest points on any continuously paved road in North America — before descending back down.

Will we see any wildlife?

Very likely — elk, moose, marmots, and bighorn sheep are all regularly spotted along this route, and your guide will point out wildlife and interpretive highlights as you ride.

Should I prepare for elevation?

Yes — this is the highest-elevation tour we offer, reaching close to 12,000 feet. Drink water often, even before you feel thirsty, and let your guide know right away if you start feeling off — headaches, dizziness, or shortness of breath are common at this altitude, and we're happy to slow down or take a break.

Cancellation Policy

Full refund if canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time; no refund inside that window. If the tour is canceled due to poor weather, guests are offered a different date or a full refund.
