Description
Guided Red Rocks Sunrise Hike with Breakfast
As the first light spills over the sandstone monoliths of Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, you'll set out with your guide and a small group of fellow early risers for a walk through one of Colorado's most iconic landscapes. Just a short drive from downtown Denver, this guided hike carries you into Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre before the rest of the city is awake. You'll meet your guide and a small group at the Trading Post, then set off along a 1.5-mile (2.4 km) trail through towering red sandstone formations, climbing a gentle 350 feet (107 m) as the sky shifts through shades of pink, orange, and gold. With the crowds still hours away, there's room to breathe in the quiet and really take in the scale of the rock formations rising on either side of the trail. Keep an eye out for mule deer along the way — they have a habit of photobombing — and pause often for sweeping views back toward the Denver skyline.
