Private Jackson Hole Snowshoe Tour & Wildlife Safari with Igloo Lunch

Explore Jackson Hole’s winter wildlife and pristine landscapes on this private safari and snowshoe experience, featuring a warm lunch at our secluded winter camp. Begin the day with a guided tour through the National Elk Refuge and Grand Teton National Park, where you’ll look for elk herds, moose, bighorn sheep, and bald eagles against the dramatic backdrop of the Tetons.

Afterward, snowshoe to our private igloo and winter camp for a casual hot lunch featuring deli sandwiches, soup or chili, and hot chocolate. With expert interpretation, stunning views, and a cozy camp setting, this tour captures the essence of winter in Jackson Hole — both its wildness and its warmth.

Location / Where to Meet

We provide complimentary transportation from your lodging in Jackson & Teton Village. If you're staying outside of the area, we'll depart from a mutually agreed-upon location in the town of Jackson.

Ages & Requirements

All ages welcome! These private tours are great for families and guests of all ages. For the vehicle ride, please bring any child safety seats or boosters if needed.

For the snowshoeing portion, we recommend participants be around 5-6 years and older, depending on size and ability. Younger children who aren’t ready to snowshoe can still enjoy the experience by riding in a carrier - please bring your own child carrier or backpack if needed. Alternatively, anyone in your party who doesn't want to snowshoe can stay warm at camp while others explore.

FAQs

Do we need previous experience to snowshoe?

No experience is required. Your guide will provide all equipment, basic instruction, and tips to help you feel comfortable. Snowshoeing is easy to learn and suitable for beginners.

Does everyone in my party have to snowshoe?

Not at all. Guests are welcome to relax and stay warm at camp while others head out on the snowshoe portion.

Where is the winter camp located?

Our private winter camp is set on a beautiful Wyoming ranch about 15 minutes north of Jackson. It’s a truly authentic mountain experience with stunning views and quiet surroundings.

Do you provide alcohol at lunch?

We may be able to provide beer or wine upon request for an additional fee, but guests are also welcome to bring their own beverages for lunch or dinner. Please note that all participants consuming alcohol must be 21+ and carry valid photo ID.

Do we go into Grand Teton National Park?

Yes, most of our tours include time inside Grand Teton National Park as well as the National Elk Refuge, where you’ll have opportunities to see a variety of wildlife and iconic landscapes.

What wildlife might we see?

Depending on the day, you may encounter elk, moose, bison, mule deer, bighorn sheep, coyote, fox, bald eagles, and occasionally wolves. Wildlife sightings vary seasonally, but our guides know the best locations for viewing.

Cancellation Policy

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy for all half day and full day reservations of 9 or less guests. For groups of over 10 guests and for 2-3 day safaris our cancellation policy is 7 days. For groups over 15 guests and for multi-day safaris of 4 or more days our cancellation policy is 30 days. Cancellations made outside the stated cancellation period for your reservation will be fully refunded with no penalty. For cancellations made within our cancellation policy’s stated times for your reservation we will retain a 50% deposit. Cancellations on the day of your reservation or no-shows will be charged 100%.
