Learn to Surf in Pensacola, Florida!

Pensacola is the perfect place to enjoy the thrill of riding emerald waves against a tropical backdrop! Our experienced surf instructors cater to both beginner and intermediate surfers, ensuring a fun and safe learning environment. With these private lessons, the instructors are able to tailor the lesson based on your skills and experience, building on what you already know!

The most consistent surf is between November and April, even allowing you to catch crystal-clear barrels when the conditions are just right! While winter and early spring offer the best and most consistent waves for intermediate surfers, summer and fall are the best time for beginners, as the waves are smaller and less choppy!

What happens if the weather is bad?

Wave conditions and weather will be determined the day of. If the conditions are not suitable for surfing, we will try to reschedule first, but will give a refund if that is not an option.

What are some safety tips for surfing in Pensacola?

Respect the Ocean: Please know your skill level and avoid areas with strong currents and big waves if you are a beginner!
Understand the Local Breaks: Every surf spot is unique with waves breaking in different ways, potential hazards that are hidden from view (coral and rocks), and local surfing etiquette.
Surf with a Buddy: It is always safer to have a friend to look after each other and assist in emergencies.
Stay Hydrated and Use Sunscreen: Please use reef-safe sunscreen that won’t damage the fragile ecosystems around Hawaii.
