FAQs
What experience level is required?
No prior snowshoeing experience is needed. This tour is suitable for all ages and ability levels. Wildlife viewing involves minimal walking, and the snowshoe portion is a gentle introduction to the activity.
How far will we snowshoe?
The snowshoe portion covers approximately 1–2 miles at a relaxed pace, allowing time to enjoy the scenery, observe animal tracks, and experience the quiet of the winter forest.
What wildlife might we see?
Guests may spot elk, moose, deer, bighorn sheep, fox, bald eagles, trumpeter swans, and other native species. Sightings are seasonal and can’t be guaranteed, but your guide will take you to the best habitats for the time of year.
What is the activity level?
This tour is easy to moderate, designed to be accessible for all levels. The combination of vehicle-based wildlife viewing and a short snowshoe walk makes it a gentle, family-friendly experience.
What type of boot is needed to snowshoe/can I rent one?
For snowshoeing comfort, it is important your feet are warm and dry. Waterproof hiking boots or insulated winter boots work well. If you don’t have boots, they can easily be rented locally. Let us know and we will recommend a store near your hotel.
