- Stay on designated routes. Follow your guide’s instructions and stay within approved areas to help protect sensitive spring habitats.
- Use reef-safe sunscreen. Regular sunscreen can damage the water quality and harm marine life. Reef-safe options are best.
- Leave what you find. Please do not remove rocks, plants, or artifacts from the area.

Are manatee sightings guaranteed on this tour?
Manatees are wild animals, and while we do our best to take guests to areas where manatees are most active, sightings cannot be guaranteed. The highest chances of seeing manatees are during manatee season, from November 15 through March 31.
Is kayaking experience necessary?
No experience is needed. This tour is beginner-friendly and designed for all skill levels. Our guides will provide a safety briefing and paddling instructions before you head out.
Are pets allowed on the private tour?
Pets are not allowed on the tour to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests and wildlife.
Can I bring alcohol on the kayak tour?
Alcohol is not permitted on any Get Up and Go Kayaking tours. Feel free to bring non-alcoholic beer or other beverages!
What type of kayaks are used?
All kayaks are tandem (two-person) clear kayaks. If you have an odd number in your party, we can adjust and allow for a solo paddler when needed, but weight limits still apply.
What are the weight limits for the kayaks?
The weight limit is 425 pounds per kayak (combined weight for two paddlers) and no more than 250 pounds per individual seat.
Is there a parking fee at the meeting location?
Yes, there is a $5 parking fee per vehicle at Kings Bay Park. Payment is required upon arrival.
What should I wear for the tour?
Wear clothing you are comfortable getting wet, water shoes or sandals, and bring a towel for after the tour. Sunglasses, a hat, and reef-safe sunscreen are also recommended.
What happens if the weather is bad?
In the event of unsafe weather, guests will be given the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
