The New Hampshire seacoast has been drawing surfers to its beach breaks since the early 1980s, and a one-on-one lesson is the fastest way to get comfortable in the lineup. Your guide meets you at North Beach, known locally as "The Wall," for a full hour of undivided attention on the fundamentals: safe entries and exits, board handling, paddling technique, and pop-up mechanics, all paced to your comfort level in the water.
Because it's just you and your instructor, this format works well for first-timers of any age, nervous swimmers, and surfers looking to iron out a specific habit before their next session. Lessons run during the summer surf season and are scheduled around the tide, so your guide will confirm timing that lines up with clean, rideable waves at The Wall.

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. Lessons, camps, and rentals must be scheduled ahead of time; lesson times are offered at 8am, 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm daily during the season.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive 45 minutes before your scheduled start time to allow for check-in and wetsuit fitting before heading down to the beach. If you're spending the day at the beach already, you're welcome to check in earlier and meet your guide at your lesson time.
What time of year are lessons, camps, and rentals offered?
Surf lessons run June through September, rentals run May through October, and evening surf camps run mid-June through August — all weather and surf conditions permitting.

What happens if the weather or surf conditions aren't good?

Cancellation Policy
Cinnamon Rainbows Surf Co. reserves the right to cancel any lesson or rental due to inclement weather or conditions without prior notice. Your money will be refunded in this case.
We require a 24-hour cancellation notice to have your payment refunded. Call the shop with extenuating circumstances and we will issue a voucher for the lesson/rental that needs to be cancelled but payment will not be refunded
