- Paddlers under the age of 13 should ride in a tandem kayak with an adult
- It is highly recommended that all paddlers can swim and feel comfortable on the water
- The maximum weight for a single kayak is 275 pounds, and 525 pounds total combined weight for a tandem.

Do I need experience to kayak in Port Orford?
No prior kayaking experience is necessary. This tour is suitable for beginners and experienced paddlers alike. Your guide will provide instruction and support throughout the paddle.
What kind of wildlife might we see?
You may see harbor seals, a variety of seabirds including Cormorants, Black Oystercatchers, Common Murres, and Pigeon Guillemots. Gray Whales are often seen from late winter through fall. During spring and summer, we may also sample edible seaweeds.
Will I get wet?
Yes, you’ll likely get splashed during the paddle. Wetsuits are provided and required for this tour to keep you warm and comfortable.
Should I bring my camera?
It's best to leave the camera behind unless it is rated for use in and around water. Our guides will be sure to snap some photos of you while you’re out on your tour as well.
Should I tip my guide?
