Zuma Bike Ranch is a storied property nestled up against the Phil's World trail system, at the crossroads of Cortez, Dolores, and Mancos Colorado. It sits in the heart of several high desert and alpine mountain bike destinations.

Our goal is to create a unique space for mountain bike enthusiasts to gather, explore southwest Colorado’s amazing trail networks, and enhance their riding ability through professional mountain bike skills instruction and clinics.

Mountain Biking Lessons Cortez

Private sessions are designed to grow your skill set based on your current ability. If you are brand new to the sport you will gain a solid foundation of fundamental skills. If you have been riding a while, we can help you refine your current technique, and challenge you through introducing more advanced skills. You can expect skill development through drills, and on trail application of what you learn. We also offer group lessons for groups up to 6.

Jake Quigley Lead Instructor

Jake’s passion for knobby tires and dirt goes back to his childhood, with an early interest in BMX and freestyle riding. After transplanting from the east coast to Colorado he was introduced to mountain biking. Since then he has explored the mountains of North America via two wheels.

Jake’s interest in introducing others to the sport and making them better riders inspired him to become a professional mountain bike guide and skills instructor. Jake is BICP certified and is an instructor trainer for Ninja Mountain Bike Performance. His true passion is helping others reach their mountain biking potential through setting goals, building skill sets, and expanding comfort zones.
