FAQs
Where do you pick up the ski and snowboard rentals?
Performance Sports is located at the bottom of the main building at Cascade Village, a community located just 2 miles north of Purgatory Ski Resort.
Can we park at Cascade Village and take a shuttle to Purgatory?
There is a shuttle available from Cascade Village but it is only for residents and guests staying at Cascade Village. If you are a guest at Cascade, we highly recommend taking a shuttle to Purgatory.
Is there parking available at Cascade Village at Performance Sports?
Yes. There is ample parking for you to come pick up and drop off the skis. Please do not leave the vehicle unattended underneath the canopy area however, that is only for drop-offs and pick-ups only. There is parking next to the building on the right as you drive into Cascade Village.
Can delivery ski rentals be dropped off at the shop at the end of the rental?
Yes. You can drop off skis at the ski shop after your rental but the rental price for delivery does not change due to that.
Do you have after hours ski rental delivery return?
Unfortunately, we do not. The latest ski rental drop off is 6 pm.
Do you offer ski storage?
The only ski storage is at Purgatory Mountain. It's ~$14/night/skis
How often are the rental skis waxed and tuned?
All the skis are inspected every single time to maintain the highest level of tune. Whether waxing or edging is needed, we make sure that we always rent the skis at their peak performance level.
Do you offer custom boot fitting?
Since we do not sell boots or skis, we do not offer custom boot fitting. If you make any changes to the boot fitting, please make sure that it is returned the boots in the same condition as you rented them.
What are the youth kids boots sizes that you offer?
- Ski boots: 14 is the smallest boot in the industry and we carry that, which is a youth 6.
- For snowboarding, size 10 is the smallest boot size for snowboarding boots.
I'm not sure how many days I'm going to ski, how many days should I reserve for?
We recommend that you reserve for the least amount of days and if you need to add additional days during your trip, you can always do that. Since we do not offer any refunds, reserving for the least amount of days ensures that you only pay for what you use.
How do I make sure that I get the best skis during my rental?
We allocate ski rentals on a first come first basis as the reservations are made. We allocate our best gear in order of the reservation that was received. This means you get newer and nicer gear if you reserve early.
