Renting a paddleboard or kayak on Lake Dillon is a fantastic way to spend a day on the water and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Colorado Rockies. Lake Dillon, with its crystal-clear waters, stunning mountain backdrop, and over 25 miles of shoreline, offers an idyllic setting for water activities. Whether you're a seasoned paddler or a beginner, the calm waters and numerous secluded coves make for a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Be sure to keep an eye out for wildlife such as bald eagles, ospreys, and deer.

Kayak and paddleboard rentals are the summer activity for the whole family (dogs too!). We have keiki “kids” boards that kids can paddle on and maneuver. We provide instruction with our rentals to make sure you and the family are set up for success! With our rental options available at the lake, you don't need to worry about the hassle of transporting equipment, making it a convenient and accessible option for everyone.

SUP Rentals
Stand-up paddleboarding is the craze taking on the waterways and we have a fleet of inflatable SUPs for rent – great for all ages – available at Lake Dillon CO! They’re perfect for 2-hour flat water rides around this sprawling Summit County lake.
High-Performance SUP Rentals (Intermediate/Advanced)
Do you like adventure? Do you want to go fast? Suit up and rent our 14’ pro carbon model SUP board that’s ideal for intermediate-to-advanced paddlers. Its extra length and width make it perfect for sprints and long glides around the lake.
Single Person Kayaks
Rent one of our one-person sit-on-top inflatable kayaks so you can paddle at your own pace while enjoying the epic views surrounding Lake Dillon. Head out in a group of other paddlers or take a solo trip and get some peaceful alone time under the blue Colorado sky.
Tandem Kayaks
Take in the awesome 360° views of the mountains surrounding the arms of Lake Dillon with your favorite person! Grab a partner and rent a tandem kayak so you only have to handle 50% of the paddling while getting 100% of the fun.
Outrigger Canoes OC-1
We are excited to offer OC-1’s as a premium rental at the Dillon Marina. Outrigger Canoes are ultra-performance crafts meant to cover distances and displace water. We have canoes from renowned Hawaiian shapers, Kai Bartlett and Johnny Puakea. The canoes are fragile and need to be carried and used with care. Experience paddling these crafts is highly recommended because they can tip over easily if you are inexperienced.

We do have small life jackets for kids as young as 1 year, but we recommend bringing your own to ensure a good fit for little ones.

What to Bring / Wear

Layers of clothing that will keep you warm when you are wet. Choose materials like neoprene, fleece, etc. – avoid cotton.
Shoes with a good sole that can get wet but stay on your feet. Sandals with a heel strap are acceptable.

FAQs

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! We offer complimentary doggie PFD/Lifejackets to make sure they are safe. Please make sure they are family-friendly dogs and if they damage anything on the boards, you will be responsible for paying us for the damages.

Will I see wildlife?

Very likely, numerous bald eagles and hawks soar overhead, while beaver and fish travel alongside. An abundance of deer, elk, and bears make this a hunter’s paradise in the fall.

Can I bring alcohol?

No, not before your trip on the water. If you want to enjoy some cold suds after the trip, be our guest. Be thoughtful and considerate. We will not tolerate any drunkenness around our hubs, especially during business hours. If someone in your group seems intoxicated and unfit to go on the lake, we may refuse to rent to you and no refund will be given to you.

What happens if there is bad weather?

Stand Up Paddle Colorado is open rain or shine. There are no refunds in the event of rain, fog, wind, cloudy skies, or drastic temperatures. In the event of severe weather and at the discretion of the staff, Stand Up Paddle Board reserves the right to cancel reservations.

What should I do with my valuables?

Please leave them at home or in the car.

What happens if we need help on the water?

We make it a point to keep track of who is on the water so we can assist if possible. On Lake Dillon, we are the only outfitter with our own pontoon boat that we can use to pick up guests who may be stranded or need help if inclement weather hits.

Cancellation Policy

If a reservation is changed more than 48 hours before fulfillment, we will change your reservation to a later date at no charge. In the event of a cancellation, the customer will be refunded minus a 10% administrative fee.

If a reservation is changed 48 hours or less before fulfillment, we can change the reservation to a later date at no charge. There are no refunds for reservations canceled less than 48 hours before fulfillment.
