Experience Hocking Hills from a 75 foot Rappel!
Located on pristine private property in the Hocking Hills of Ohio, High Rock Adventures offers an exciting introduction to rappelling. The only company in the region using state-of-the-art Petzl stainless steel anchoring systems, no trees are damaged and you can rappel in confidence knowing our steel anchors could hold the weight of a large van going over the cliff.
With rappels beginning at 35ft up to 70+ft, this tour is a great blend of nature and adrenaline! You'll experience three different types pf rappels: flat wall, canyon, and large leaning rock. Rappelling is less physically demanding than rock climbing but doesn’t sacrifice any excitement. We provide all the gear and instruction, no experience necessary.

High Rock Adventures is located at 10108 Opossum Hollow Rd, Rockbridge, OH 43149. The adventure starts from our location.
Ages
a minimum age of 6 years old is required, and all participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian. Weight limit for climbing is 250 lbs. & rappels is 275lbs. Pregnant women will not be allowed to climb, rappel, or do our Rock Challenge but may participate in a guided nature hike if allowed by their physician. Please note that harnesses go from under 18" up to 44" and you must safely fit into the harness to participate.
What's Included
- Rappels: Includes 3 unique rappels of 35 to 75+ feet.
- All Equipment Required: harness, helmet and rappelling devices (top-anchored ropes and beautiful scenery also provided)
- Instruction: from two expert Guides: one top side and one below. No experience necessary, we will walk you through the activity and offer tips throughout to make your adventure the best it can be! (Age, weight, and mobility restrictions apply, see tour qualifications below.)

What to Bring
- CLOSED-TOE SHOES are required on all tours. Shoes with a good tread are recommended.
- CLOTHING: Wear clothes that allow a full range of motion. Long pants help avoid scrapes to the legs from the rock, but wear what is comfortable. NOTE: Clothes can get dirty, snagged or ripped on the natural sandstone rock.
- WATER: Bring water to drink throughout the tour, preferably in a reusable water bottle. High Rock will provide a light snack at the end of tour.
- MISC: Bring a hair tie for longer hair, bug repellent, rain gear, and layered clothing depending on the season.
FAQs
Are reservations required? The staff will try their very best to accommodate walk-ins, but are sometimes unable to do so. Reservations are highly recommended and most tours are available to book online up to 24 hours before tour time.
Can I use my own gear? We appreciate and understand the desire and preference of using your own gear if you have it, but in order to comply with our insurance policy, we require participants to use our harnesses, ropes, gear and anchors.
Should I tip my guide? Although not required, tips are greatly appreciated! If your guide is as awesome as we expect, we suggest 10% to 15% of the tour cost.
What should I expect when I come for my tour? Guests should arrive 20 minutes before the tour. After verifying we have signed waivers for each participant, guests receive a safety briefing, instruction, and equipment fitting (as needed) at our office before heading to the activity area with their guide. Restrooms and refillable water are available at the office when you check-in.

Cancellation Policy
- Your safety is extremely important to us. On occasion high winds or lightning may delay or cancel your tour. If the tour is cancelled by us due to weather or any extreme situation we will attempt to email, call, or text if we know far enough in advance. You may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
- Once reservations are made and confirmed by us, you are considered a confirmed tour guest and your credit or debit card will be charged. Should you choose or need to cancel 10 days or more prior to your confirmed tour date, a refund less a per person fee will apply. Fees: 2-4 hour tours, Climbs, Rappels, Rock Challenges, and Ecotours are $15 per person plus tour booking fee if applicable, Tours lasting longer than 4 hours, Rappelling 201, Climbing 201, and the Climb and Rappel Combo are $25.00 per person plus tour booking fee, if applicable. Please note the Zip & Climb or Zip & Rappel is $15 per person to High Rock Adventures plus tour booking fee, in addition to the cancellation fee charged by Hocking Hills Canopy tours.
- If you need to change the tour date or time, you may do so one time, up to 10 days prior to your originally scheduled tour, based on availability.
- No refunds or reschedules will be given with less than 10 days notice. Your tour reservation is transferable, so you can give it or sell it to someone else if you choose, please advise our office in advance of any name changes.
- If you are late, you will not receive a refund or be able to join your tour. There is a required safety briefing before each tour and we cannot hold the group to wait for a late participant. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your reserved tour time.
-We do offer tour cancellation insurance at very reasonable costs to protect you should you have to cancel.
