Pro Tip 2: Avoid booking your manta trip the same day you arrive on the island. Flight delays happen frequently!

Pro Tip 3: We recommend travel insurance or a premium credit card with trip protection to cover unexpected disruptions such as illness, injury, flight delays, weather delays, etc.

*Waterproof phone cases with long lanyards are not permitted. These items interfere with manta rays and may cause them to leave the area.

🚨Full face masks are not permitted on any of our trips due to safety concerns.

restrictions: - For safety, swimming skills are required for all guests – this is a nighttime open ocean activity
- Can you swim 50 yards without additional floatation?
- Prior snorkeling experience is required and you must consider yourself an intermediate snorkeler
Join us on a daytime charter to dial in those snorkeling skills
- Non-swimmers are not permitted on this tour
- Children (under 18) must be at least five years of age, demonstrate strong swimming ability, and be accompanied by an adult at all times
- Everyone in the party must be able to converse in English for safety instructions, no exceptions
- Everyone in the party must be able to listen and follow directions
- Pregnant women are not permitted due to the adventurous nature of the boat ride – our vessel is not for everyone!
- Those who experience recurring back or neck pain cannot participate in this tour
- Those with any problems with their shoulders cannot join this tour. You are lying prone in the water with your arms outstretched for 30-40 minutes.
- Those with recurring shoulder dislocation issues are not permitted to participate in this activity
- There is no weight restriction, but guests must be able to physically and safely maneuver on and off the vessel without assistance. Not recommended for those over 300lbs. Snorkeling is a physically exerting activity, and we area 20-45 minute boat ride from medical care in the event of an emergency – you should be in good physical and mental health
- Those with injuries that limit their mobility cannot participate in this tour
- This can be a stress-inducing activity and is not recommended for those with heart conditions, high blood pressure, or those who have severe asthma.
- We DO NOT RECOMMEND a snorkel trip (due to increased exertion) for at least two days after getting off the plane due to the risk of development of ROPE (Rapid Onset Pulmonary Edema)
- We expect guests to read and understand the safety restrictions before booking this tour.

A life vest is not a replacement for swimming ability. If you require a life vest to be in the ocean this is not the activity for you and you will be turned away. Safety is our primary concern.

Manta rays are wild animals, and while we have great success finding them, sightings are not guaranteed. If you don’t see a manta during your trip, you may join another tour on a space-available, standby basis. There is no refund if wildlife does not appear.

🔹 Important: This offer never expires, but it is non-transferable and has no cash value. Standby spaces are extremely limited, especially during peak seasons.

While the majestic manta rays occasionally take a break, our boats, crew, and operating expenses don’t! Because of this, we’re unable to offer refunds for tours where manta rays aren’t seen. This policy is standard across all manta ray snorkel operators in Kona.
