Description

Moab Brands Trails Shuttle in Moab, Utah

Skip the path ride and start your ride at Moab's most accessible and rider-friendly trail systems. The Moab Brands Trails (also known as Bar M) feature 17 interconnected singletrack trails that let you build a ride to match your skill level and time available. With smooth flow lines, classic desert terrain, and a handful of more technical options, it's an ideal system for beginners, intermediates, riders new to desert singletrack, or anyone looking for a quick warm-up close to town.
Located just 9 miles north of Moab, the Brands area sits on BLM land and offers everything from gentle rolling singletrack to advanced trails with rock features for those wanting more challenge. After your ride, return to town via the paved Moab Canyon Pathway — a scenic, downhill-trending bike path that drops you back at the Whole Enchilada Shuttle Co. lot without needing a car.
This shuttle is the easiest way to maximize your time on the trails: skip the road climb, get a quick lift to the trailhead, and ride back to town on your own schedule. It's also a great option for groups with mixed abilities, since the trail network allows riders to choose loops of varying length and difficulty from the same starting point.

Duration

The shuttle drive is approximately 20 minutes from the departure lot to the trailhead. Plan on 2 to 3 hours of riding time once you're on the trail, plus the return ride to town via the Moab Canyon Pathway. Total time on the trail varies depending on which loops you choose to ride.

Location / Where to Meet

  1. Meet at the Whole Enchilada Shuttle Co. departure lot at 675 N. Main St., Moab, UT 84532. The lot is located at the north end of town just below the highway, marked by a billboard.
  2. Coming from Poison Spider Bicycles, head north and pass under the lighted pedestrian crosswalk — the first entrance is at the end of the corrugated rusted metal fence on the left. Coming from the north, look for the billboard that reads "Please keep your speed down while enjoying our town." Open in Google Maps.
Please use the restroom before arrival — there are no restrooms at the departure lot. Restrooms are available at the Bar M trailhead.

Ages

The Moab Brands trail system is one of the most beginner- and family-friendly options in Moab, with trails suitable for newer riders and kids comfortable on singletrack. Riders should be confident on a mountain bike and able to handle basic desert terrain. There is no minimum age set by the shuttle, but riders must be able to ride independently.

FAQs

Is transportation/shuttle to the start of the adventure included?

Yes — one-way shuttle transportation from the departure lot in Moab to the Bar M trailhead is included. Return to town is via the paved Moab Canyon Pathway under your own power.

How far is the shuttle drive to the trailhead?

Approximately 20 minutes. The trailhead is located 9 miles north of town.

Do you pick us up after our ride?

No. The Moab Canyon Pathway is a paved bike path that returns you directly to the shuttle lot, so no return shuttle is needed.

Is there a minimum number of riders required for the shuttle to run?

Yes. If the minimum is not met, the team will try to place you on another shuttle if a seat is available. If your shuttle is canceled or you've been moved, you'll be notified by 5 PM the day before. This is more common in the early and late season.

What happens in the event of bad weather?

If weather makes shuttles unsafe for riders or harmful to the trails, the shuttle will be canceled. You'll be notified by text and/or email as soon as the decision is made — typically that morning. You'll have the option to reschedule subject to availability or receive a full refund.

Do I need previous experience to ride the Brands trails?

The Brands system is one of the most beginner-friendly trail networks in Moab, with options for newer riders. Basic mountain biking skills and comfort on singletrack are recommended. More advanced trails are available for experienced riders looking for a challenge.

What is the maximum group size?

Group size depends on shuttle availability. For groups of 6 or more, advance booking is recommended. Cancellation notice requirements vary by group size (see Cancellation Policy below).

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not permitted on the shuttle.

Is parking available? Is it free?

Yes — free parking is available at the departure lot at 675 N. Main St. while you're on your ride. Vehicles may not be parked overnight or used for camping.

Are restrooms available at the trailhead?

Most trailheads have restrooms, but availability is not guaranteed. There are no restrooms at the departure lot, so please plan accordingly before arrival.

Will I have cell service on the trail?

Cell service on most Moab trails is intermittent. Make sure your phone is fully charged before riding. In an emergency, texting can sometimes work where voice service does not, and 911 texts can be sent with as little as 8% battery.

Do I tip my driver?

Tips are not required but are greatly appreciated. If your driver took care of your bike, answered questions, or shared local advice, please consider tipping. Tips added at booking will go to your driver.

Do you provide a guide?

No — the shuttle is a transportation service only. If you'd like a guide, check out mountain bike tours.

How can I rent bikes?

You can rent your mountain bike rentals for Moab online. Compare from multiple shops and book.

Cancellation Policy

We require:
- 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling for parties of 5 or less
- 72 hours for groups of 6-11
- 1 week for groups larger than 12

We uphold a strict, non-refundable cancellation policy, consistent with all local shuttle operators. With limited seating and a short season, we rely on every seat to keep things running. While we understand that unexpected circumstances arise, we’re unable to make exceptions. We apply this policy equally to ensure fairness for all guests and thank you for your understanding.

We hope for the perfect weather conditions for your ride, but weather can sometimes make shuttles unsafe for riders or harmful to the trails. If weather forces us to cancel, we'll text and/or email you as soon as the decision is made, typically that morning. You'll have the option to reschedule subject to availability, or receive a full refund. Please know, this is decision we hate to make but can't always avoid.
