Maui Floating Wetsuit Rental – Weekly Rental

up to 7 days
Description
Wear It Like a Wetsuit, Float with Built-In Buoyancy!
Think of it as a wetsuit designed with flotation built right in. The Airtime Watertime flotation suit provides additional buoyancy and support in the water while also offering the coverage and warmth of a wetsuit-style garment. Its structured flotation helps support your head, chest, and hips, making it easier to relax and float without constantly working to keep yourself positioned at the surface.
Keep the suit for a full seven days and use it throughout your Maui vacation whenever you want some extra support in the water. Take it along for a relaxing float, wear it during appropriate recreational water activities, or simply enjoy having additional buoyancy available throughout your stay. Your suit is fitted according to your size to help provide a secure and comfortable fit.
With a weekly rental, there's no need to plan your water time around a single session. Pick up your flotation suit in Nāpili, keep it throughout the week, and return it when your rental is finished. It's an unusual piece of water gear, but the concept is simple: put it on like a wetsuit and get built-in flotation while you're in the water.

FAQs
What is an Airtime Watertime Flotation Suit?
The Airtime Watertime Floater® is a wetsuit-style recreational swim and watersports aid with built-in foam flotation panels. The additional buoyancy can help you float, rest, and swim with less effort while also providing wetsuit-style coverage and warmth. It is designed to make recreational time in the water more comfortable, not to function as emergency lifesaving equipment or replace an approved PFD.
That distinction is important because “flotation suit” sounds much more safety-certified than this product actually is. I’d keep “Flotation Wetsuit” in your customer-facing title for clarity, but put that bold PFD disclaimer very prominently beneath the description or in the requirements section.
Do I need previous swimming experience to use the flotation suit?
You don't need to be an experienced swimmer to benefit from the suit's added buoyancy, but a flotation suit is not a substitute for swimming ability, water-safety knowledge, or appropriate supervision. If you're using it in the ocean, only enter conditions appropriate for your abilities and stay within your personal comfort level.
Does the flotation suit make it safe to swim in any Hawaiian ocean conditions?
No. The flotation suit does not make unsafe ocean conditions safe. Hawaii's waves, currents, shorebreak, wind, and other conditions can change quickly, and additional flotation does not eliminate those hazards. Always check current conditions, obey posted warnings and lifeguard instructions, and choose an area appropriate for your swimming ability. When in doubt, stay out.
Can children use the flotation suit?
Yes. Children's sizing is available starting at size 2, allowing younger guests to be properly fitted for a suit. However, the suit should be treated as additional flotation—not as a substitute for active adult supervision or appropriate water-safety practices.
Do I still need to supervise my child while they're wearing the suit?
Absolutely. A child wearing a flotation suit still requires close, active adult supervision at all times around water. Never assume the suit makes it safe for a child to enter the ocean alone, move beyond their swimming ability, or be left unattended in a pool or at the beach.
Can I use the flotation suit for snorkeling?
The added buoyancy may make surface activities more comfortable, but guests should still choose conditions appropriate for their abilities and follow normal snorkeling and ocean-safety practices. The suit does not replace swimming skills, a buddy, proper snorkeling equipment, or awareness of currents and surf.
Can I take the flotation suit to different beaches during my rental week?
Yes. With a weekly rental, you can keep the suit and use it at different appropriate water locations throughout your stay, including pools and beaches. Because conditions vary considerably from one Maui beach to another—and can change throughout the day—evaluate the conditions each time before entering the ocean rather than assuming the suit makes every location suitable.
Is the Airtime Watertime Flotation Suit a replacement for a life jacket or PFD?
No. The Floater® is designed as a recreational swimming and watersports aid that provides additional buoyancy, but it is not U.S. Coast Guard approved and is not classified as a life jacket or personal flotation device (PFD). It has not been certified to meet the safety requirements of an approved life jacket, including requirements related to keeping or turning an unconscious person into an appropriate position in the water.
Whenever a Coast Guard-approved PFD is required or appropriate for an activity, you still need to wear one. The flotation suit should be viewed as additional buoyancy and comfort—not emergency lifesaving equipment.
