Looking Glass Arch offers one of the best introductions to multi-pitch climbing in the Moab area, combining approachable terrain with big desert exposure. This three-pitch, fully bolted route is designed for climbers who are ready to move beyond single-pitch routes or indoor climbing and experience a longer climb in a dramatic desert setting.
This private lesson-style climb focuses on progression and understanding. Whether your goal is simply to climb higher off the ground or to begin learning multi-pitch systems, your AMGA-trained guide will tailor the experience to your interests. Along the way, you’ll gain exposure to multi-pitch movement, transitions between pitches, and rope management — all while enjoying sweeping views over the Moab desert.
The experience wraps up with one of the most memorable rappels in the area, descending from the top of the formation in a way that makes Looking Glass Arch a standout objective for adventurous beginners and developing climbers alike.

Location / Where to Meet

Red River Adventures
Guests meet at our headquarters in Moab. There is secure on-site parking available, and Red River Adventures will return you to your starting location at the end of the trip.
Please note: Moab operates on Utah time and is one hour ahead of Arizona.

This route is ideal for adventurous beginners, gym climbers, or anyone ready to expand beyond single-pitch climbing. All trips are private and tailored to the group’s experience level.
