Description
DIY Island Adventure: 1.5-Hour Kayak Trip to Little Tybee Island
- Bring a buddy — no solo paddling allowed. Exploring’s always better with a sidekick anyway.
- When you land, pull your kayak all the way up on the beach—far from the water’s edge. Tides here don’t mess around. If your kayak drifts off... well, it’s a long swim back.
- No fishing from the kayak — just chill vibes, calm waters, and wild island views.

FAQs
Do I need prior kayaking experience?
Basic paddling knowledge is recommended since there’s no guide. If you're new, consider practicing beforehand or choosing a calm route.
Can kids or pets join a self-guided trip?
Pets are not allowed. Children aged 4 and up are welcome, but must ride with an adult in a tandem kayak. All participants must wear a life jacket at all times.
Is it safe to go alone?
No. For safety reasons, a minimum of two paddlers is required. Solo paddling is not allowed on this self-guided tour.
Why do I need to pull the kayak far up the beach when I stop?
Because tides change quickly, and if your kayak is too close to the water, it can float away without you noticing. Always pull it well above the high tide line to avoid getting stranded.
