Whether it’s your first time ever giving kiteboarding a try or you’re just eager to land that latest trick, Evolution Kiteboarding lessons in La Ventana are available for all levels from beginner to advanced, freestyle, unhooked, directional, strapless, and foil for any skill you want to improve, they've got your back.

They are also able to provide professional consultation on selecting the optimal gear for you. With each consecutive class, the skill and challenge level will keep building with respect to the physical ability of each student, so you can learn with us from beginner to advanced.

Wetsuit - for sizing and hygiene reasons, a wetsuit is not included in the lesson.

Kiteboarding & Wing Lessons

• 1 day: 2-hour or 3-hour single lesson
• 2 day: 6-hour lesson, 3 hours each day
• 3 day: 9-hour lesson, 3 hours each day - recommended minimum if you want to learn to be an independent kiteboarder
• 5 day: 15 hours, 3 hours each day

What You Can Expect to Learn

1 day - This is a private lesson. Go at your own pace and build your kiteboarding skills from beginner to advanced with our one-on-one, private lessons in La Ventana. If you're a beginner, you will learn kite safety and have a land lesson for most of the session with possibly a bit of time in the water.

2 days - Six hours of private instruction are split into three-hour sessions over 2 days. This is a great introduction to the kiteboarding package since you will learn everything you need to know about safety and kite control. For a beginner, on day 1 you'll learn kite control and safety on land and possibly get into the water. On day 2, you'll most likely be in the water and learn to body drag (video).

3 days - Nine hours of private instruction are split into three-hour sessions over three days. This is the most popular package since most people are able to get up on the board by the end of the nine hours.

5 days - 15 hours of private instruction are split into 3-hour sessions over 5 days. This is our full send package for those who really want to dial down kiteboarding.

Note: Kiteboarding is a progressive sport and everyone’s learning curve and abilities differ. We go at each individual’s pace. If you are advancing quickly, we won’t hold you back and if you need to work on a step for a little longer we will not pressure you to advance.

FAQs

Do I need to bring a wetsuit?

Yes, for sizing and hygiene reasons, we do not provide wetsuits for the lessons.

Do I need to bring my own helmet? No, we will provide you with a helmet if needed but if you have a helmet, you may bring your own for comfort and sizing preferences.

Do I need to bring my own PFD / Life jacket? No, we will provide you personal floatation device as part of your lesson.

I'm a beginner, what package should I pick to learn to kiteboard on my own?

Kiteboarding requires a lot of attention to safety for you and others. We ensure that you're fully comfortable with safety skills, gear knowledge, and proper techniques to become an independent rider. We recommend at least the 3-day, 9-hour course if you have not kiteboarded before. When does the lesson timing start?

The lesson starts once we are on the beach. The time spent at the shop signing waivers, getting fitted into your harness, etc. does not count toward the lesson.

What should I wear for my first kiteboarding lesson?

We recommend wearing a wetsuit and booties.

Do you do wing lessons too?

Yes - you can learn kiteboarding or wingfoiling with us!
