Kitemex provides a holistic experience encompassing both kitesurfing and wing foil lessons. Starting on the beach, you'll learn the essentials of safely flying a kite, setting the stage for advancing your skills further.  The wing foil lessons cover everything from setting up your wing to mastering its control, steering your board, and performing turns.

Kitemex is located at a perfect on the beach location providing a central location in La Ventana and a great beach for launching and landing a kite.

Kitesurf Lessons

Level 1 - Kitesurfing Initiation

2 hours

In this 2-hour kitesurfing lesson, you'll learn about kitesurfing gear, safety mechanisms, and the right way to fly a kite on the beach safely.  

Level 2 - Intermediate Kitesurfing

4 hours

Learn to body drag, self-rescue, and take your first shots at getting on the board.

Level 3 - Independent Kitesurfer

6 hours

Gain the skills for independent riding, all while receiving ongoing support from our expert instructors.

Group Lessons - 2 or 3 People

Learn kitesurfing alongside one or more friends to enrich your experience. This approach is great for your first session, but as you advance, we recommend switching to one-on-one sessions to maximize learning and make the best use of your time.

Kitefoil Lessons

2 hours

The key to excelling in kitefoiling is skillfully balancing body weight and managing kite control. Learn skilled kite handling and foiling technique under the guidance of a seasoned instructor.  Each lesson comes with all the necessary equipment included.

Wingfoil Lessons

2 hours

Dive into the cutting-edge world of wing foiling in La Ventana, Mexico! Our instructors are here to lead you through everything from setting up your wing to gaining control, guiding your board using the wing, and performing turns. Your first session will be conducted on the beach, and any following sessions will adopt a downwinder approach.

Downwinder Experience

2 hours

The Downwinder experience in kitesurfing is all about gliding along with the wind, providing the opportunity to sharpen your navigation techniques, boost your upwind performance, refine smooth transitions, and hone your jumping skills.

Note: Learning times may vary depending on the student, their abilities, and background (if they already practice wakeboarding, surfing, windsurfing), and the weather conditions (wind).

Duration

Lessons vary from 2-3 hours per day based on weather conditions and rider ability.

Are Kitemex lessons private or shared?

You can learn kitesurfing with one or more friends for your initial session.  After the initial session, the lessons will be 1-on-1 private.

Is prior experience required?

No previous experience with water or wind sports is required.

Is there an age limit for participating in kiteboarding lessons?

No, they do not have an age limit for our kiteboarding lessons. Instead, they have a weight minimum to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants. Individuals must weigh at least 35 kilograms (approximately 77 pounds) to partake in the lessons. This requirement helps them ensure that all participants can effectively control the kiteboarding equipment under various wind conditions.

Does Kitemex La Ventana offer jet ski assistance during kiteboarding lessons?

No, Kitemex does not offer jet ski assistance. Instead, they focus on teaching participants to be self-reliant kiteboarders. Kitemex believes in empowering learners by equipping them with all the necessary skills for taking off and landing from the beach independently. Their training is designed to ensure learners gain the confidence and competence to enjoy kiteboarding safely and autonomously.
