About
Our kayak rentals are a great way to explore the calm, clear waters and mangrove creeks between Key West and Stock Island. We'll give you a map of the area highlighting spots that we recommend. You can paddle over sea grass beds and explore mangrove tunnels on your own.
The waters accessible from Lazy Dog are home to fish, birds, coral, mangroves and a whole lot more! We often see manatees right in our marina. You also have a chance to see the occasional shark or ray.
What to Bring
- Wear bathing suit or anything you don’t mind getting wet
- If sensitive to sun, bring a hat and long sleeves
- Sunscreen (we sell reef safe)
- Water (we sell bottled water)

Cancellation Policy
Look, we understand the bars are open until 4 am. All we ask is that you give us 12 hours* cancellation for full refund if you feel you'll suddenly become "ill" the next day so that we may give your spot to someone else. Or come anyway! sweat it out then some hair of the dog at the dock side bar!
*Please note that Eco Boat Adventure requires 24 hours due to limited availability
As far as the weather, don't believe the hype. 80% chance of rain usually means it'll be a passing shower at some point and usually overnight. We only cancel the tour if there is lightning in the area
If it's windy, we can usually hide. We'll for sure give you a warning if we think you'll have an issue. Please heed the warning as we know what we're talking about and we just want you to have the best possible vacation experience.
