Ultimate One-Day Yosemite Sightseeing & Hiking Experience

Come see Yosemite in one day with a local guided tour, showcasing the park's most iconic sights and personalized to fit your wants! You will begin your journey among the Giant Sequoias, then ascend to Glacier Point for a panoramic vista of Half Dome and Yosemite Falls, and followed by an ice cream break at the Glacier Point store.
You'll then venture deeper into the park to discover Yosemite's famed waterfalls - Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Falls, and Nevada and Vernal Falls. Along the way, soak in views of El Capitan, Tunnel View, and the Merced River. With total hiking mileage ranging from 3 to 6 miles, our personalized itinerary ensures an adventure tailored to your group's preferences, whether you seek leisurely sightseeing or high mileage exploration!
Yosemite National Park stands as a national wonder, a valley overlooked by majestic granite cliffs and teeming with wildlife. This tour is tailored for those with just a day to spare, ensuring you experience everything the valley has to offer!

FAQs

What are some places we will see on this tour?

Some of the major points of interest of the tour include: exploring a grove of Giant Sequoias, a bird's-eye view of Yosemite valley and landmarks from Glacier Point, and possibly time for some swimming in the valley!

A few other points of interest may be: Half Dome, Vernal & Nevada Falls, Yosemite Falls, El Capitan, Tunnel View, Bridalveil Falls, and the Merced River!

What if I want to do more or less hiking?

The trip is adaptable to your fitness and wants, as long as what you want is open and accessible! There are people who have specific hikes they want to take on that could end the day with over 13 miles of hiking or they can adjust down to 3 miles of hiking and focus more on sightseeing.

On average, there is about 3 to 6 miles of hiking, including the hike to the Giant Sequoias, the Yosemite Waterfalls, and Glacier Point Loop.

Will I be able to get souvenirs or food?

The tour includes a stop at Glacier point for ice cream and there is a small store for souvenirs there! If it is extremely important to you to stop at the valley store, it is possible, but it will cut into the daily activities due to the lines of waiting.

Do I need to tip my guide?

All guides are paid a fair and livable wage, therefore gratuity is not expected! If your guide provided an incredible experience, please feel free to tip anywhere from 5% up to 30%!

Will you pick me up at my hotel?

We'll pick you up anywhere along Highway 120, between Groveland, CA and the Yosemite National Park entrance. If you are staying on Highway 140 near El Portal or Highway 41 near Oakhurst, then we'll find the most accessible place to meet you based on the adventure you choose! Don't worry; we'll work with you, and provide maps and directions!

Do you include lunch on your adventures?

All of our all inclusive packages, backpacking adventures and full day whitewater rafting trips include lunch, and we offer a low cost, customizable lunch Add-Ons for all of our day tours and adventures!

Typically, you cannot buy lunh on the tours. We encourage you to buy a Custom Hiker’s Lunch or bring a bag lunch, so we can spend as much time as possible enjoying the National Park.

Can I cancel if it's raining?

Our philosophy is there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing! That being said, we will cancel and refund tours if it is dangerous to operate - which is incredibly rare. For those fair weather hikers, we recommend the Easy Cancelation Rate! You can also double check that your travel insurance will cover guest cancelations.

Do we need a Yosemite reservation?

Nope! We will cover your reservation and entrance fee into Yosemite on the day you are with us. If you want to go in on your own, then make sure you know the rules!

- Your Adventure Coordinator will always work with Member-Guides as well as lodging & recreation partners to provide the largest possible refund based on your circumstances; however, we are rarely able to secure a larger refund than is stated above.
