Description

Pedal Through Honolulu’s Past, from Royal Palaces to Waikīkī Beach!

Start your morning with the ocean breeze at your back as you glide along Waikiki Beach, roll past the Honolulu Zoo, and follow the Ala Wai Canal while your guide shares how this famous stretch of shoreline came to be. From there, the city opens up — historic beaches, canoe clubs, golf courses, and the Kaka'ako neighborhood, where colorful murals now cover entire building walls. Along the way, you'll pedal past film locations made famous by Gilligan's Island, Hawaii Five-0, and Magnum P.I.
At Honolulu Harbor, you'll ride the elevator to the top of Aloha Tower for classic views over the waterfront before cruising into Chinatown, where the island's multicultural roots come alive and you'll taste exotic Hawaiian fruits. The ride then rolls through downtown to the Hawaii State Capitol, 'Iolani Palace — America's only royal palace — the King Kamehameha Statue, Kawaiaha'o Church, and the Mission Houses, plus the site of Elvis Presley's final concert.
Your guide brings each stop to life with stories of Hawaii's past, present, and future, along with tips on the island's best-kept secret eats and treats. With photo stops at every landmark, this is one of the most complete ways to see Honolulu in a single morning!

FAQs

Do I need previous biking experience?

No previous tour experience is needed, but you should be comfortable riding a bike on your own. The route is mostly flat, and we start with a bike fitting and safety briefing before we leave Waikiki.

What landmarks will we see?

Highlights include Waikiki Beach, the Ala Wai Canal, Kaka'ako's street murals, Aloha Tower, Chinatown, the Hawaii State Capitol, 'Iolani Palace, the King Kamehameha Statue, Kawaiaha'o Church, the Mission Houses, and the site of Elvis Presley's last concert, plus film locations from Gilligan's Island, Hawaii Five-0, and Magnum P.I.

Is any food included?

Yes — you'll taste exotic local fruits in Chinatown. Your guide will also share where to find some of Hawaii's secret eats and treats so you can come back on your own.

Why does the tour start so early?

We meet at 7:00 am to enjoy cooler morning temperatures and lighter traffic as we ride through Honolulu.

Is this tour kid-friendly?

Yes! Kids are welcome over 12 years old, and child rates apply to riders 17 and under. Young riders should be comfortable riding their own bike for the full distance.

Do you offer kama'aina or military rates?

Yes. Discounted rates are available for kama'aina (Hawaii residents) and military members on this tour — please bring a valid ID.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, we recommend booking as early as you can. We're a small, personalized tour company, so dates and start times can fill up quickly.

What kind of bikes do you use?

Our pedal tours use lightweight, comfortable 7-speed city bikes.

Our electric bike tours use pedal-assist Ride1Up e-bikes (Class 1–3), which give you a boost on the climbs while you pedal. Every rider gets a bike fitting before we roll out.

Are helmets provided?

Yes. A safety helmet is provided for every rider, and we'll help you choose the right fit during your bike fitting.

Is instruction included?

Yes. Every tour begins with a bike fitting and safety briefing.

On our electric bike tours, your guide also gives a short e-bike lesson so you're comfortable with the pedal-assist before we leave Waikiki.

What certifications do your guides have?

Your guide holds advanced first aid and AED/CPR certifications for your safety, and shares local history and culture through informative narration throughout the ride.

Can you accommodate food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Yes. Please let us know about any food sensitivities or allergies when you book so we can plan safe and satisfying stops for you. Vegetarian and vegan options are available on our food-focused tours.

What is your approach to sustainability and the community?

We strive to be environmentally responsible, socially conscious, and culturally respectful, and we aim to leave a positive impact on the places we visit and the people we meet. Exploring by bike is a low-impact way to see the island, and we encourage all riders to pack a reusable water bottle and follow Leave No Trace principles on the trails.
