- Guests must be able to swim independently to participate in snorkeling.
- This is a beach-loading catamaran, we do not recommend our trips for individuals with mobility issues or anyone who has trouble walking completely unassisted. The vessel is entirely inaccessible to wheelchairs.

- Seasickness medications - If you are prone to seasickness, it is recommended to take sea sickness medication at least 30 minutes to 1 hour before the scheduled boat time. It is too late to take the medication if you are already seasick on the boat.
- Please remove any jewelry, watches, or anything that can get damaged by water or you don’t want to lose.

What drinks are included on the snorkel boat?
What makes a snorkeling adventure even more fun? Drinks on board, of course! The West Maui Snorkel Adventure includes a full open bar for all guests aged 21+ with proper ID.
- We offer two local beers you can enjoy while you marvel over the beautiful Maui Sea, plus a selection of white wine, champagne, bourbon, light rum, dark rum, and vodka. In addition, there will be crafted drinks just for your liking.
- We can create many different cocktails such as Maitai’s, Maui Mules, etc. Whatever your preference, our open bar can serve you to make your stay in Maui more perfect and memorable.
Kids and visitors who prefer non-alcoholic beverages can also enjoy our open bar as it includes soft drinks, lemonade, passion orange guava juice, water, and coffee.
What is a "Beach Loading Catamaran"?
A beach loading catamaran means our vessels load directly from the sands of Ka’anapali Beach rather than a concrete dock or a harbor. To board, you will walk across the wet sand and step into the ocean a few paces before climbing onto our custom dropdown staircase. Because of this unique and exciting boarding style, we do not recommend our trips for individuals with mobility issues or anyone who has trouble walking completely unassisted. The vessel is entirely inaccessible to wheelchairs.
Do I need to know how to swim in order to snorkel?
Yes. To participate in snorkeling, we strictly require that all guests possess basic, unassisted swimming abilities. While we provide plenty of flotation options (like pool noodles and snorkel vests) to keep you perfectly comfortable, all of our snorkel sites are offshore in open water ranging from 25 to 40 feet deep. You will not be able to touch the ocean floor at any point.
What if I'm prone to motion sickness?
Our large, dual-hulled luxury catamarans are inherently much more stable than single-hulled boats or rafts, greatly minimizing rocking. However, if you are highly sensitive to motion sickness, we highly recommend booking our early morning excursions when the wind and waves are at their calmest. Taking an over-the-counter preventative medication (like Dramamine) an hour prior to check-in can also significantly improve your comfort.
Which snorkeling spots will we visit?
Your captain picks the best site based on the day's water conditions, choosing from popular West Maui spots such as Honolua Bay, Cliff House, Olowalu, and Mala Wharf, among others. A specific site can't be guaranteed in advance since conditions change daily.
What food and drinks are included?
Breakfast and lunch are prepared fresh for the trip, with dietary restrictions and allergies accommodated with 24 hours' notice. The bar includes local beer, wine, cocktails like mai tais and Maui mules, and non-alcoholic options such as soda, juice, lemonade, and coffee.
Cancellation Policy
Guests who have selected TripSafe
Those who have booked directly with Sea Maui and selected the TripSafe option while booking, you’re all set! You can cancel or reschedule your tour for ANY reason all the way up until check in time (30 minutes prior to departure). You must submit an email request or call directly to the outfitter no later than 30 mins in advance of departure and you will be refunded for the full booking amount (less the cost of the TripSafe protection and associated booking fees). You can also choose the option to reschedule at this time, based on availability. All customers will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule in the case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Guests without TripSafe protection
Our cancellation policy for those without TripSafe protection is 48 hours prior to departure time. To cancel, refund or reschedule your tour please call or email your outfitter directly at least 48 hours in advance. Once within the 48 hour window no refunds will be honored. You MUST call or email to cancel. No-shows will be charged the full price. Private charters and other special events will require 7 days notice for a refund. Third party vouchers or tickets not sold by Sea Maui may have additional refund restrictions out of our control, Sea Maui will not be responsible for the refunding of any payment taken by a third party vendor but will work with you and the 3rd party to resolve any issues to the best of our ability. All customers will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule in the case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
