Description

Exploring Summit County’s backcountry routes on pillow-soft powder in winter is scenic, peaceful, and will make you feel like you have the mountains all to yourself. Snowshoeing is easy to learn, fun for everyone, and can be a great high energy cardio workout. Join us for an unforgettable day on one of the many pristine Colorado backcountry trails.

Hike a tranquil loop around a pristine mountain meadow, explore a shady canyon or embark on a heart pounding trek up a snow shrouded peak to witness spectacular winter views. Nothing quite compares to the silence of walking through the woods and seeing the snow shimmer in the sun. Snowshoeing allows individuals and groups with varying levels of fitness to achieve this bliss.

We can provide you with more-advanced, higher-paced snowshoe hikes or just a relaxing family adventure in the woods. Our guides know where to go—based on your preferences, weather, and snow conditions—to provide you with a safe and enjoyable snowshoeing guided tour. We offer both a half-day tour (about 4 hours – depart daily at 8 am and 1 pm) and a shortened 2-hour tour (depart daily at 8am, 11am, and 2pm). Snowshoes and poles are included for each tour.
