Private Full-Day Guided Ice Climbing - Summit County, Colorado
Spend a full day exploring the frozen waterfalls and alpine ice of Summit County on a guided ice climbing adventure with Colorado Adventure Guides. This immersive outing gives you the time and space to learn, practice, and progress—whether you’re new to climbing or looking to push your abilities on steeper, more technical routes.
After meeting your guide and reviewing gear, safety, and climbing technique, you’ll head into the field to spend the day on varied terrain. Beginners will focus on movement skills, belaying, and tool placement, while more advanced climbers may work on multi-pitch systems, lead climbing principles, or anchor building. Throughout the day, your guide will provide personalized coaching and feedback to help you move efficiently and confidently on the ice.
The full-day format allows for a deeper learning experience and the opportunity to climb more routes at different grades. Surrounded by snow-covered peaks and frozen cascades, you’ll gain both the technical know-how and mental focus that make ice climbing so unique. By the end of the day, you’ll have not only improved your skills but also enjoyed a memorable winter adventure in the heart of Colorado’s mountains.
