What is the pace of the hike?

We try to tailor the hike to everyone in the group. Typically the pace is set by the slowest person.

How challenging is this hike?

This hike is considered moderate. The trail is not flat path walking - be prepared for uneven, rocky, rooty, or muddy sections, as well as inclines and declines. However, the pace is relaxed and designed to suit a range of hiking abilities, and will be tailored to the group.

Do I need hiking experience for the Oregon Coast Trail?

No prior hiking experience is necessary, but participants should be comfortable walking for up to 3 hours and navigating natural terrain. Your guide will adjust the pace and route based on group needs.

What kind of wildlife or plants might we see?

The corridor is home to coastal evergreens, ferns, wildflowers, and occasional wildlife sightings such as deer, birds of prey, tidepool creatures, and more.

Will we be hiking the entire time?

Expect to be on your feet most of the tour, but there will be breaks to enjoy the views, take photos, and learn from your guide.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

There is a minimum charge of $225 to run this tour. We will reach out if this pertains to your booking. You could either add the extra funds to reach $225, we could rebook you to a different day, or you can request a refund.

Tipping is always appreciated and a great way to recognize your guide’s hard work. Guiding is part of the service industry, and if your guide provides a safe, informative, and enjoyable experience, a tip is a meaningful way to say thank you.
