2–4 Hour Guided Group Hike near Denver
About This Experience
Looking to stretch your legs, soak in some epic Rocky Mountain views, and connect with fellow nature lovers? This 2–4-hour guided hike is the perfect way to escape the city and experience the magic of Colorado’s outdoors—no car required!
We’ll meet at Huckleberry Roasters on Pecos St., just 20 minutes west of downtown Denver. From there, we carpool to one of our favorite trailheads within an hour’s drive. The trail we choose will depend on conditions and the group, but expect mountain views, fresh alpine air, possible wildlife sightings, wildflower and tree ID, and plenty of Type 1 (and maybe Type 2) fun.
The hike is easy to moderate for folks in decent shape—between 2 and 5 miles round-trip, with elevation ranging from 6,000 to 12,000 feet. We’ll take snack and water breaks, snap plenty of photos (and send them to you after), and offer an optional group lunch at a local café post-hike, or you can bring your own to enjoy with a view on the trail.
We keep our prices low by carpooling and ask that guests help out with rides if they can. Drivers get a $10 refund!
Whether you’re a solo adventurer, part of a group, or booking for a corporate team, we’ll make it a fun, inclusive, and safe experience. If you’re the only person signed up for a day, we’ll give you the option of a private hike for $60 extra or a full refund.

What’s the minimum age limit for this guided hike?
No age limit, but kids must be able to hike at an adult pace. No car seats are provided—families with young kids must use their own transportation.
What should I wear and bring?
- Tennis shoes are okay, but we recommend shoes with good traction
- Bring layers—weather can change fast
- Snacks/lunch if you’d like (granola bars provided)
- Water bottle
- Hiking poles and YakTrax available if requested in advance (especially helpful in winter)

Do hikes have cell service?
Usually yes, but don’t count on it 100% of the time.
Are dogs allowed on this Denver guided hiking tour?
Yes, if you bring your own ride and your pup stays on leash.
What if I’m the only person signed up for the tour for the day?
If you're the only person signed up for the hike, your guide will contact you the evening before and you will have the option to pay $60 extra for a private hike or opt for a refund.
