Description
Full-Day Guided Slot Canyon Tour in Southern Utah
A full day in a Southern Utah slot canyon is something you don't forget. More canyon, more rappels, more time deep in terrain that most visitors to Zion never reach—the Full-Day Slot Canyon Tour is for those who want to go further and experience canyoneering as a genuine backcountry adventure rather than a quick taste.
Like the half-day, the route is chosen by your guide based on conditions, group ability, and what will make the day most rewarding. But with a full day, guides can take groups into longer, more complex canyons with more technical variety—more time spent problem-solving the terrain, more rappels, more of the immersive, otherworldly quality that makes this corner of the Southwest so remarkable. Your day may include hiking, scrambling, downclimbing, rappelling, and potentially moving through shallow water depending on conditions and season.
The full-day tour is offered as a private trip only, meaning the canyon is yours—no sharing with other groups. It's ideal for anyone who's already tried canyoneering and wants more, for confident first-timers who want the full experience without easing in, or for groups who simply want an uninterrupted day of adventure together. Guides adapt the experience to the group, with the same foundation of quality instruction, challenge by choice, and safety that underpins every trip.

FAQs
Why should I choose a full-day tour over a half-day tour?
The full-day goes deeper into more complex canyon terrain with more rappels, more technical variety, and more time immersed in the backcountry. It's a fuller, more demanding experience. The half-day is a focused, approachable introduction. Both are excellent—the right choice depends on your group's time, fitness, and appetite for adventure.
Do I need prior canyoneering or rappelling experience?
No prior canyoneering experience is required. Guides provide all instruction. That said, the full day is physically more demanding than the half-day—a good baseline of fitness makes for a more enjoyable experience.
Will we get wet?
Possibly. Some canyons have shallow pools or wet sections depending on conditions and time of year. Your guide factors this into canyon selection and gear.
How far in advance should I book?
Early reservations are strongly advised. Summer dates (June–August) tend to fill 30–45 days in advance. Book early to secure your preferred date and time.
Cancellation Policy
Full payment is due at the time of booking. Cancellations more than 3 days in advance will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 72 hours of trip start time are non-refundable. Weather conditions do not permit clients to cancel trips. If your Zion Adventures® guide determines conditions make the event unsafe, we will reschedule or make every effort to provide a comparable experience; if not possible, all purchases will be refunded in full.
