Your journey begins as you push off from the banks of the Green River, floating through a landscape carved over 40 million years. Marvel at the canyon walls rising above you, showcasing layers of rock that reveal the Earth's prehistoric past. Between rapids, take in the serene stretches of the river, where you may spot bighorn sheep, eagles, and river otters along the rugged canyon walls. This trip offers a guided walk to ancient petroglyphs, where you’ll see rock art left behind by the Fremont people nearly 1,000 years ago. Location / Where to Meet

You'll first stop at the Jensen Welcome Center, then meet at our Adrift Office.

1. Go to the Jensen Welcome Center - 9607 6000 S St, Jensen, UT

Use the restroom
Obtain any visitor information you may be interested in

2. Arrive at the Adrift Office at 8:30am - 9500 East 6000 South Jensen, UT

Park your vehicle in a designated location in our parking lot.
Lock your vehicle and give your keys to the office. DO NOT bring keys on the river!
Check in at the office with ALL members of your group.
Fill out Acknowledgement of Risk forms and make payments, if necessary

This is the best white water rafting near Steamboat Springs, Colorado which lies roughly 140 miles West. A doable day trip from Steamboat Springs, rafting a one-day or even multi-day adventure in Dinosaur National Monument is sure to be the highlight of your Western Colorado vacation.

FAQs

Do you use paddle rafts or oar rafts?

Trips for the Green River rafting are usually run in paddle rafts (everyone paddles), but oar boats (you do not have to paddle) can be requested. Both options hold five to eight people plus a guide.

When does the Green River run?

This rafting trip departs daily May-September from the Adrift Adventures office in Jensen, Utah.

How far is the shuttle?

Put in (30 minutes): Rainbow Park
Take out (5 minutes): Split Mountain Campground

Do we need to reserve in advance?

Definitely - we're limited to 25 people a day on the river, so this trip can fill up quickly! Reserve in advance for your preferred day and time.

Are there restrooms at the meeting location?

Yes, there is a restroom on site.

Should I tip my guide?

The guides very much appreciate tips, industry standard is the same as the restaurant industry, 20% of the bill or roughly $25 pp per day if the service was excellent. If it was not, please let us know!

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes, we can accommodate most dietary restrictions. Just let us know in advance.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY

Trip dates and capacities are limited by NPS. Therefore all reservations are non-refundable, as Adrift has a strict no-cancellation policy for any reason including personal emergencies. We strongly recommend Trip Insurance.

FULL REFUND EXCEPTIONS

Trip Cancellation is not likely, but Adrift reserves the right to cancel any trip due to river or weather conditions or the lack of sufficient reservations up to 14 days in advance for multi-days and/or 48 hrs for single-day trips. If we cannot operate the trip you signed up for, we will work with you to find an alternate option if possible. We understand that your vacation is essential, and we strive to make it as easy and memorable as possible.

TRIP TRANSFER

Guests can transfer from one trip to another during the same season before full payment is due. Multi-day trip transfers are considered cancellations if requested after the final deposit due date.
