Description
Full Day Livermore E-Bike Rental — A Full Day in the Livermore Valley Wine Country
A full day in the Livermore Valley on a Pedego is one of Northern California's great outdoor experiences. With dozens of wineries within easy riding distance of Concannon Vineyard, paved bike paths weaving through mile after mile of vine rows, and rolling golden hills all around, this is sip-and-cycle at its finest. A full day lets you move slowly, linger over a flight, find a shaded picnic spot between tasting rooms, and still have time to discover that one perfect bottle you'll talk about for years.
The shop provides a laminated map of the valley's wineries and bike trails, customizes your route before you leave, and equips your bike with a pannier bag and wine bottle carrier so any great finds come home with you. The Pedego's long-range battery handles the full day with ease — it's the valley's terrain and the tasting room conversations that set the pace.

FAQs
Where can I ride for a full day from Concannon?
A full day in the valley is best spent following the Livermore Wine Trails — a network of paved paths and low-traffic country roads connecting dozens of wineries. A popular full-day circuit from Concannon heads to Steven Kent Winery (0.7 miles / 1.1 km), then south to Garré Vineyard (2.7 miles / 4.3 km), then east to Cedar Mountain Winery or west toward Wente Vineyards (3 miles / 4.8 km), before looping back through the valley. Staff will build a custom route based on which wineries are open on your visit day and how many stops you're hoping to make. Most full-day riders comfortably visit four to six wineries.
How many wineries can I visit in a day?
Most riders comfortably visit four to six wineries in a full day, depending on how long they spend at each stop. The valley's wineries are spread over a relatively compact area, making it easy to connect multiple stops on paved paths. Staff can help you plan an itinerary around your preferences and which days specific tasting rooms are open.
Are the routes paved?
The majority of the popular winery routes use dedicated bike paths and bike lanes. Some sections of country road are shared with cars on low-speed, low-traffic roads with good visibility. Staff will walk you through the safest and most scenic route before you leave.
Is there an age limit for wine tasting?
You must be 21 or older to consume alcohol at any winery. Riders under 21 are welcome to explore the valley on the bikes but cannot participate in wine tastings.
Is it safe to ride after wine tasting?
Taste in moderation and never ride if impaired. The Livermore Valley wine trails are designed for self-paced exploration — take your time, drink water between tastings, and enjoy the rides between stops as much as the stops themselves.
What is a Pedego electric bike and how does it work?
Pedego electric bikes use a pedal-assist system — as you pedal, the motor kicks in to amplify your effort. You can adjust the assist level to get as much or as little help as you want, and most models have a throttle for power without pedaling at all. In the Livermore Valley, that assistance is especially welcome on the rolling wine trail roads and on warm afternoons when a cool glass of something is waiting at the next stop.
How far can I go on a single charge?
Most Pedego bikes are rated for 20–60 miles (32–97 km) per charge. The Livermore Valley wine trail network is well within range for a full day of winery hopping — riders regularly cover 15–25 miles (24–40 km) across multiple stops with battery to spare.
Do I need experience riding a bicycle to rent an e-bike?
You should be able to ride a standard bicycle before renting. Staff will provide a full orientation and practice time before you head out, and the laminated route maps make self-guided navigation easy. The valley's dedicated bike paths are well-suited to riders of all experience levels.
Are helmets required?
Yes — helmets are required by shop policy and are included with every rental and tour. California law requires riders under 18 to wear a helmet.
Do I need to be a strong cyclist?
Not at all. The e-bike's pedal-assist handles the rolling terrain of the Livermore Valley without effort. The wine trail routes are designed for riders of all fitness levels, and many guests have never ridden an e-bike before their first visit.
Can I bring wine back with me?
Yes — every rental bike can be equipped with a pannier bag and wine bottle carrier upon request. Pick up a bottle (or a few) along your route and they'll ride safely back with you.
What is the weather policy?
Rentals and tours go forward in all but severe weather. The Livermore Valley is known for hot, sunny summers — early start times are strongly recommended from June through September. Full refund for cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance.
What happens if I get a flat tire or the bike has a mechanical issue?
Contact the shop directly. Keep bikes locked when stopped and secure them whenever you're inside a tasting room.
Is parking available?
Yes — free parking is available at Concannon Vineyard at 4590 Tesla Rd.
Do I need to book in advance?
Booking in advance is recommended, especially on weekends and during peak wine country season (April through October). The shop is open Monday and Thursday through Sunday, 11:30 AM–5:00 PM; closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
What time does the shop open and close?
Monday and Thursday through Sunday, 11:30 AM–5:00 PM. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday. All bikes must be returned at least 30 minutes before closing.
