Description

Full-Day Clark Fork Whitewater Rafting Trip with Group Discount

This full-day rafting trip through Alberton Gorge is packed with splashy excitement and stunning Montana scenery—perfect for adventure seekers! Your day begins at Wiley headquarters, where you’ll check in, meet your guide, and receive a detailed safety briefing before heading out to the river.
Once on the water, get ready for an unforgettable ride through 4–6 major Class III–IV rapids, with plenty of smaller waves and riffles to keep the fun going in between. Along the way, you’ll experience the wild beauty of Western Montana—towering canyon walls, crystal-clear water, and the possibility of spotting local wildlife. Cool off with a swim, leap into the river from popular rock jumping spots, and soak in a natural riverside “hot spring” near the end of the trip (not to be confused with Quinn’s Hot Springs or other developed sites—this one’s wild and rustic!).
Midway through the day, your guides will serve up an all-you-can-eat, buffet-style riverside lunch to refuel for the second half of your journey. Water is available at lunch, and you'll be greeted with water and adult beverages at the take-out to celebrate a day well spent on the river.
Located just outside of Missoula, the Alberton Gorge offers some of the best whitewater rafting in Western Montana—don’t miss your chance to experience this iconic stretch of river.

FAQs

What do you serve for lunch?

We typically serve deli sandwiches with a veggie option upon request, potato salad, baked beans, chips and salsa, cheese and crackers, grapes, cookies, and water.

What class rapids will we encounter?

Depending on the water levels, the Clark Fork River has multiple Class IV rapids:

*Tumbleweed – This rapid brings the best of large volume whitewater while still allowing for a family-friendly adventure.

*Fang – This rapid is similar to tumbleweed, as it is equally thrilling. Fang is sure to make you feel like a kid on a rollercoaster with its quick drop right into a curling wave.

This exhilarating whitewater will quickly remove any doubt you may have had about the Clark Fork River being the best rafting near the Missoula, Coeur d’Alene, or Spokane area.

Where do you recommend for camping or lodging nearby?

For camping near Superior, Montana we recommend the Trout Creek Campground. For lodging we recommend Quinn’s Hot Springs Resort or Lozeau Lodge.

What is your weather policy?

Wiley E. Waters will raft unless there is lightning on the forecast. We will provide the proper gear for all other weather conditions and get you out on the river for your scheduled trip. Same-day cancellations or no-shows charged in full.

What is the difference between the half-day and full-day whitewater rafting trips on the Clark Fork?

Both adventures take place on the same section of the Clark Fork River, but the half-day does not stop for lunch and takes fewer stops to decrease the duration for those on a short schedule. When possible, we highly recommend the full-day to get the full experience!

Cancellation Policy

We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations and rescheduling of activities. We will work with you to reschedule to a new date or if you need to cancel entirely. We will provide a full refund with 48 hours’ notice. If you cancel within 48 hours or do not show up, you will be charged the full price of your trip.
