Ages & Requirements
- Tandem Bikes: Age 21+ for the front driver & kids 8+ on the back, with a maximum combined weight of 300 lbs.
- Single Bikes: Ages 14+. Age 12-15, let us know in the comments when booking how many in your party are teens, their ages, and height.
- Helmets are required to be worn the entire time a Roll guest is eBike riding.
- eBikes are allowed on paved roads and paths; they are NOT allowed on gravel or dirt roads or paths.
- While riding a Roll ebike participants must follow all traffic law.
- The speed limit on the Animas River Trail is 10 miles per hour.

FAQs
Do I need to book in advance?
We have a limited fleet of e-bikes, so be sure to book in advance to lock in the rental day and time of your choice!
Is there a physical requirement?
You must know how to ride a bike to be a driver. The person in the front of tandem bikes should be generally healthy, as these bikes require a bit more effort.
How many people can the group package accommodate?
We can accommodate up to 10 people total, with a total 5-8 eBikes. You can book up to 7 ebikes (3 of which have seats for a second rider on the back) for a total of 10 people at one time.
How fast do the e-bikes go?
We offer Rad Power and Pedego brand ebikes. Both go up to 20 miles per hour.
Can kids ride Roll e-bikes?
Yes, kids age 6 and up can ride the Cruisers or Tandems with a parent or adult friend.
What does pedal assist mean?
Pedal assist is a mode that provides power only when you are pedaling. The pedal assist mode is also nice because you can focus purely on your pedaling and you don't have to hold the throttle in a certain position.
Which e-bikes are pedal assist?
All of our ebikes have both pedal assist and throttle except for our eTandem's, which are throttle only.
What does throttle mode mean?
When the throttle is engaged the motor provides power and propels you and the bike forward. A throttle allows you to pedal or just kick back and enjoy a “free” ride! Our throttles can be fine tuned like a volume dial between low and full power up to 20 miles per hour maximum.
Are e-bikes allowed on the road?
An ebike is just like any other bike and are allowed on roads in bike lanes and on the Animas River Trail. Please follow traffic laws, be safe, and have fun!
How is your e-bike fleet maintained?
We contract with a mobile bike mechanic company to ensure your e-bike is in top shape.
Cancellation Policy
Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 48 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
If your reservation is cancelled less than 48 hours before your reservation, the cancellation fee is 10% of the total fees for multi-day reservations.
If your reservation is cancelled less than 24 hours before your reservation, the cancellation fee half the price of the reservation.
